Very addictive riff on Ridiculous Fishing. The art is very inspiring, especially the shopkeeper opening his grill to talk and the main guy is a perfect adorable protagonist character imo. Fab entry all round, hope you enjoyed the jam xxx

I really liked the art and music in this game, and the shopkeeper is someone Id want to go fishing with in real life. It was really fun shooting the fish as they came down. I think I don't fully understand each upgrade but it was fun catching the big fish and shooting it with the machine gun. Definitely one of the most polished looking games I played in the jam. Great job!

This game looks great and has a really fun gameplay loop. I love how over the top blasting the fish apart after flinging them into the air is - just a crazy way to fish! I do think a bit more guidance on how to play (fish, then shoot when they're in the air) would have gone a long way. Some sort of feedback on how much ammo you had would also have been good. The upgrades, I was able to buy after just a couple of loops with the starting gear, which was fine, but did make the upgrades feel a little less satisfying to get than they maybe could have been. Overall, a really polished looking and fun submission. Well done!

I loved ridiculous fishing and this game is really great. Fun twist on the theme - your artwork and animations look incredible and really sold this for me. The different dialogue from the shopkeeper was a nice touch. Overall a really great entry nice work :)

The art is very pretty, and as someone who misses Ridiculous fishing this brought me back.

Not rating because the game didn't work for me for some reason. It followed the mouse but clicking did nothing.

Yeah that’s a good game

The art is stunning and really memorable. The game is very well made, although I feel a bit bad fishing like this it feels a bit cruel. It’s a great game, congratulations! I think you should keep developing it; it has a really strong foundation.

Beautiful art and great sound design! Very big fan of the merchant guy at the shop (something abt his "voice" scratches a specific part of my brain xD).
I only wish I would've been able to see the bottom of the ocean, just really out of curiosity x)

It's really nice to see how in this jam there are various fishing games and, this, is really so cute! It entertained me that I'm not so fond of fishing games.... in this case, well, it also has a twist, a funny twist.

Apart from that, I had fun! Great job.

As a wise man once said, "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; give a man a shotgun and you can fish for a  lifetime"

Love the shop visuals! Good stuff!

Been waiting forever for this sequel lol.

Really lovely visuals here. The underwater sections are pretty and have some nice detail, and the waves on the surface looked great too. The whole loop of scooping fish up with the net and tossing it to shoot fish was unique and really fun. Shop upgrades were a nice touch too.

This game's strengths are in the art and character writing. Really loved the seller's design and personality. Colors work great together (speaking overall now), and I think this game did a great job in building a a compelling environment. While I also liked the music, I will parrot what someone else said and mention that the music did just stop at a certain point.

Gameplay wise, while this does work for me somewhat, the gun swapping feature is just not possible because of my limitations (surface pro = no mouse scrolling = cannot swap guns), and I bet that is partially what makes the upgrades fun. Another thing of note is I think all of the fish regardless of size seem to be equal in meat seized, when I do think it would feel more rewarding if bigger fish = bigger gains (unless that specifically has to do with the guns swapping, in which case, I'd have no idea). Lastly, having more means of measuring the time of a net going down, how many bullets you have, some descriptors so you know where to click when you are selling or buying would be helpful (and if this is a hover with a mouse thing, having it so it can be tapped, read, and interacted with on a separate box would be my solution to making that more accessible for someone with certain limitations).

Overall, this has great potential and I would absolutely come back to a more polished version of this game. Again, biggest shout out goes to the artists and writers of this team, because they made a fun, small, intriguing world.

Really enjoyed this but couldn’t figure out how to get fish in the boat. I would keep bringing fish up but only a few landed in the boat. Was I supposed to be able to move the boat to catch the falling fish? The mechanics didn’t make sense to me. I was able to get a few and eventually sell them. Would be nice to have a bit of an intro/tutorial on how to get it done as well as better indicators what the shop was selling. Great work!

The art is great, and I kinda like the mechanics with the mouse, had me playing for a while, before I realized I should probably rate it and post a comment. The only negative thing I could say is that it was a little hard to figure out what to do, but this is probably one of the best games I've seen yet, and I would totally play this for hours if I could. Amazing game, I would love to see where it goes if you decide to expand it after the jam.

Great use of theme which works great with old Snes vibes, and genuinely fun gameplay loop.

Only criticism is the sound design, as the music dropped out and the sound effects were really harsh on my ears.

All in all though, great little game.
