At first there werre mobile controls, which i find cool for mobile players (ofcourse xD). I liked that at first I was a bit overwhelmed by the "ice" controlls but it just gave a kick. I got stuck in two areas, but it was a nice game to play :)
I will reconsider the ice controls. Anyway, happy to get some feed back.
It was very retro looking, so great job capturing that era of gaming. You also captured the difficulty of those times lol
As the others mentioned the mobile controls on screen are super confusing, I kept trying to make them make sense on pc.
Good little game!
Sorry about the mobile controls. I will add a start menu for selecting mobile or desktop.
I got trapped in the brick area, but other than that it was a solid game :)
It really gives a retro vibe, which I really like.
Controls were nicely made
theres mobile control
one negative would be , that the mobile controls always showed even tho playing on pc
Really cool. I couldn't play for too long though as my hand was hurting. I always think 'up' for jump makes it hard to use. Other than that, pretty amazing. Nice music too!
Thanks. Appreciate the positive feed back. To jump and run you can use WASD or arrow buttons. And the touch controls of course.
Looks beautiful, pretty fun. I do wish I could turn off the mobile controls circles but this is impressive!
A really nice 8-bit platformer that was fun to play. I wasn’t quite sure what the blue, green, and red circles on the screen were for. Maybe I just didn’t make enough progress to understand them.
Thanks for playing and writing. The game can also be played on a mobile, and the circles are used for the controls. Should have explained that perhaps.
Cool concept! I like the collectibles, it all feels pretty slick. The acceleration is a bit sluggish so it takes a while to hit full speed, so it's a bit difficult to make precise movements. Cool physics to interact with objects too
One reason the game could feel sluggish is that it is in low resolution. This means all motion is rounded off to the closest pixel value. Anyway I will try changing the acceleration.
The game vibe is great as retro platformer game, but I got stuck in the level with the red brick, it can't jump over back.
Not sure where you got stuck. Could you please post a screen shot?
Both directions of wall is high that I can't jump over.
Push the barrel from the top floor to the bottom floor. Then jump on the barrel. Please let me know if you still are stuck, and I will try to help.
This would have been excellent with some basic sound effects next to the music.
I did get stuck in a later part in the level at the red bricks. Controls feel good. Only weird thing is that on PC (firefox) you have the "android" on screen controls visible all the time...
Even tho this game lacks sounds, it simulates the "old platformer" part better than any other game I played yet.
I love the level design too
Really cool !
Thank you! Happy you like my little protoype. There is music but maybe it doesn't work in all browsers.
