interesting battle mechanic

making me need to focus both left hand and right hand

It is really pretty but it starts way too fast, I can't follow! Really nice graphics.

Hey, you stole my game name!!! I think you already got the feedback for needing some visual indication which was my main issue here. I do like the vibe and cozy feeling this gives off. Nice first effort!

The graphics and little environmental animations and stuff are great! The game is tough haha. I like that it’s different sequences of the same keys to cast spells, like I’m waving my hand around to cast or something. Really cool concept!

Developer(+2)

Hey, for all those leaving a comment, more visual indication of what exactly is going on was definitely something we wanted to tackle we just had very little time, we did maybe 2 hours of prep work before about 12 hours before the deadline, we then sat down and saw what we could all get down as quickly as possible.

There's definitely a lot missing here, it's a first game jam for all of us involved. Thanks for the feedback!

I found it really difficult, and it feels like you're not doing anything even when you actually are (the game could really use some kind of feedback). On the plus side, I really liked the graphics.

I wish I knew how long I needed to wait between spells. Is there any indicator?

Nope, I'm regularly lost on this one. I'm not sure what I'm doing and I'm always losing - it's also hard to understand what the UI effects means in terms of gameplay. On the other hand I always peek at how others are writing the source code and yours is nicely structured and easy to read :-)

I had a hard time figuring out the game to be honest, I never felt I was doing things, even if I was. First few runs I just died before knowing what was happening. Could really do with a tutorial of sorts.

That being said, I really liked the magika-like spell system!
