for the life of me I couldn't even get past the first boss with its crazy aoe attack, did I miss something perhaps?

Funny game 8.5/10 LOA is better than this but still fun to play

I've been pretty hit-or-miss on the character writing. Some parts made me chuckle but by the time I finished the cutscene with the Necromancer, I kind of tapped out of my investment in the character of Marcus. Hwaran was a more fun protagonist to be around at least, even if her Dad was pushing her in a relationship. 

Very well constructed dialogue and interactions - it felt like I was playing an anime, which I did like.

Would love to know the battle BGM track you used as it sounds very familiar but reasonably sure it's not an RTP track but it's still hella catchy.

Overall nice game for a short game jam, well polished, no issues I could find.
