Fun game! There’s a lot more skill involved than I first realized. Each character felt different than the other, that’s a great achievement given how simple the concept is, and it was really easy to pick up, but still deep enough to keep going.

Most of what I could suggest is related to UI: The tutorial is a bit odd to navigate given the dialogue boxes block some sections of the arena. Also, I would’ve loved to see the full skill descriptions while on career mode, right now I only saw them show up on character selection.

The gameplay is very solid, and I can’t think of something specific to suggest, other than seeing more content, which I guess is a good sign you’ve got something good going on.

Great job!

That was a fun game, really simple and entertaining, what more is there to ask? Great job!

The werewolf song rocked by the way.

You did an excellent job capturing the isolation and implied dread, I was enthralled. This was a great adaptation, well done!

I really appreciate your feedback! Every point you made is reasonable; I added WASD and collapsed the FAQ, should feel a lot more polished now. And I didn’t even realized I messed up the mouse instructions lmao, it was supposed to say right click. Thanks for that, too!

I’m trying to set up time aside to start reviewing projects, I’ll have yours in mind!

Alright, I got into a deep rabbit-hole with these shader stuff. I added a bunch of stuff that may or may not help, hopefully one of them hits your issue. In case everything else fails, I added a “Compatibility mode” option. Turn it on at the title screen and it should prevent the lighting shaders from activating. Let me know how it goes!

Was the yellow notice active with the yellow overlay? Then yes, it’s over. You can still outrun it if your quick enough. Find the sedation manager task, if it lets you activate manual mode, you can use the valves to extend the run a bit longer.

That’s very helpful, I really appreciate it.

The tileset file is indeed in the game’s folder, but goes unused; a leftover from the template project. I’ll make sure it’s not referenced just to be safe.

I’m not sure about the message dialogue, the animated sprite when the message is waiting for input is working correctly. It’s a green line at the bottom of the screen, may be hard to see, I’ll check if I can position it better.

Thanks again for your help!

What device are you playing in? Right there there’s a PIXI based filter that uses Webgl, that could be a clue.

Can’t seem to replicate it, but I think I can try to make a patch to solve all possible causes. I’ll push an update today, if you’ve got any save files they should be able to fix the issue once you load, too. Thanks for letting me know!

You mean the room you see when you go down the shaft at the start, right? At which point did this happen, at the start or later?

Finally joining the group. Requesting a sweet, sweet late submission link.

Glad you liked it! I was worried it dragged on too long, so this genuinely means a lot. Thanks for playing!

The bribes finally paying off

Really appreciate the heads up! I’ve restored that file, and will give it a full pass to make sure there’s none other missing.

Reminder that if you give it another go, the autosave will take you right back there!

Thanks again!

EDIT: Ok, NOW it’s good to go! Hopefully I caught them all.

Movie deal incoming

Oh, shoot! I forgot:

I’m FINALLY done. Requesting a late submission link, for the love of god.

Thanks for the kind words! I love this silly engine just as much. Cut it a bit too close to the deadline this time, lesson learned haha. Really appreciate you taking the time to play and rate!

Thanks a lot! I can definitely see that, it gives me quite a few ideas. Thanks for playing!

I played in browser, so whichever was up yesterday.

Sorry, there’s just too many unused files and extra bulk that’d take too much time to clean up. This was meant as a quick project on top of a finished premade engine so I doubt I’ll get around to it.

Browser build should run OK though in most PCs though. If you’re having issues, let me know!

Simple and fun, loved the silly faces.

Good job! Hope to see more levels, it’s a really nice concept to expand on!

Nice combat, great environments, good humor and really well polished gameplay. Great work!

Awful ex though.

Nice mix of classic RPG and gothic horror. It was fun exploring and trying the small puzzles. Music really tied everything together, nice picks. Combat was challenging, but a nice session of hard and violent reading actually helped a lot. Those books are a nice grinding spot.

I did found an error; once you get through the library’s secret entrance and reach the girl, there’s a bgm missing. Thought you’d like to know.

Overall, nice work!

Napping was the key to victory, you can’t convince otherwise.

Thanks a lot! Glad it landed well, it was a really fun project to work on.

I had the same thought when making it, it started to feel like a Henry Stickman game haha. Glad you liked the title screen, it was the solution to “I kinda forgot to add an intro”

Truly one of the games ever made. I feel emotionally ready to eat a horse.

I liked the characters, their personalities were fun and clear. The combat sequence was a nice touch too and did a good job portraying the protagonist’s power. The dynamic visual approach was a highlight, nice work there!

I did feel a bit lost with the overall plot, like jumping into a story midway, so I didn’t fully follow what was going on. Still, I can see the work you put into this, it’s well put together. Nice job!

Really interesting concept here, I like the take on open world and managing armies as your “equipment” is very creative. The resource increase being tied to items also works well and keeps things nicely balanced. It’s hard to make gold “important” in rpgs, and you nailed that.

The pacing felt a bit light at times, I found myself wandering without much to do, so a few more “clutter” locations or ways to move faster could really help. I did like the raid option. I’m not sure if repeating the same one is intended though.

Also, small note in case it helps: a couple of units didn’t seem to work properly for me, like the support/cook not adding skills (or maybe I couldn’t find them), and one interaction that did nothing. Also, I didn’t manage to use TMP (green bar) at all, did I miss something?

Loved the punny names, and the world map is impressively big. Nice work overall, great job!

You saw the secret ending? Respect, good catch!

About fullscreen, if you mean the option in the settings menu, that’s from a small plugin I made. If you mean fullscreen filling the whole screen, RPG Maker does that with F4 and then F3, I just tweaked it so it fills by default.

If that wasn’t it, feel free to ask!

Haha, better late than never! Thanks a lot for giving it a shot.

Really enjoyed this one! Visuals are gorgeous, the lighting and scenery look amazing and you can tell a lot of care went into it. The story and dialogue were fun, and the characters were also entertaining. It’s on the shorter side, but I had a great time with it. Very nice work!

Quick note, I think there’s an issue with the browser build. Entering the maid’s room (the one with the candle, first floor) seems to hang the game. It may be something shader related. The Windows build worked perfectly for me though!

Glad you liked it! I’m relieved everything came together well in the end. Thanks for playing!

Nice job on this, especially for a first project and in such a short time!

I liked the enemy cg, they’re simple but fit the theme really well. Exploration and the secrets were a nice touch, and also the optional party members.

Combat is a bit trivial after a couple of levels, but the final boss was a fun challenge and made me think a bit more. I did run into some small issues with collisions and dialogue repetition, but nothing that would take away from the experience.

Overall, this is a really solid entry, well done!

Thanks! Had a lot of fun making it. Glad the humor and flow landed, it got way more complicated than I expected. Thanks for giving it a go!

So glad to see you playing through this one too! Thank you for the kind words, it took a lot of work to prepare the story and I’m really glad it came through.

I loved your post-game theory, it was surprisingly close to where I imagined it could go. Thanks for playing!

Oh snap, you caught me off guard! I’m really glad the theme and direction landed well, it truly means a lot coming from you. Thanks for running the jam and for the thoughtful feedback!

That really means a lot, thanks! I’m glad the weird landed well and that the combinations were fun to play around with. And thanks for taking the time to read the GDD too, that’s really cool of you. Appreciate the encouragement!
