Nice mix of classic RPG and gothic horror. It was fun exploring and trying the small puzzles. Music really tied everything together, nice picks. Combat was challenging, but a nice session of hard and violent reading actually helped a lot. Those books are a nice grinding spot.
I did found an error; once you get through the library’s secret entrance and reach the girl, there’s a bgm missing. Thought you’d like to know.
Overall, nice work!
Thanks for the heads up. Which version was the BGM missing from? We're planning on releasing a full RPG experience with this game just being the prologue to the story.
I played in browser, so whichever was up yesterday.
Ah. I see. Unless you don't have this OS, the only way to get passed the Antoinette scene in the Paint It Black is to download the Windows version at the moment. I do sincerely apologize.
i love old man yaoi
See, this game isn't old man yaoi enough. So we'll be fixing that in the release for the Post Game Jam version [which will probably be a longer game since it's a reboot to my MuyoQuest/ButlerTimes games].
more old man yaoi?!?!
I really enjoyed the tone of the game. The music, lighting effects, and humor all came together really well and supported the theme. The difficulty was really high. I got TPKed three times in just a few minutes. I may have been doing something wrong but otherwise I really enjoyed it.
Yeah, a major pitfall for this game was DEFINITELY balancing the enemies with our battle system. We hope to release a game that would fix this issue in the near future. Sorry about the difficulty!
If you do not mind me asking which enemies defeated you and what levels where you at? If I know this it can help us with the balancing for the next game
Some interesting use of plugins here - I particularly like the lighting one used to create a gloomy and foreboding atmosphere.
The dialogue is well written and the story is engaging.
Is it just my ears or was do the cursor SEs change in pitch when selecting different options? If so then that's a neat trick, I like that.
Good job with the game and all the best for the jam :)
Thanks Razuth! I just wished we all had time to fix all the kinks.
