Oh yeah, just remembered another suggestion I had. It seems like your "enemy" events are set to Player Touch, which means the combat starts only if the player actively runs into them. I would suggest setting them to Event Touch instead, so that combat also starts if the monster runs into the player. Unless this is a deliberate design choice, of course...

Oh thanks, enemy events are defnitely a bit wonky haha

Actually, I think the problem is that I'm using priority as "Above characters". For some reason RPG MV doesn't always trigger.

It's like that because if I use "Same as characters" then the folowers can block the enemy path and combat won't trigger, and I didn't like it.

I guess I could use some parallel processing to check event and player position...

Anyway this sure needs some polishing

Oh, okay. Yeah, I did notice that followers block "Event Touch" enemies from hitting... but, since in my game there's only one follower, I didn't think that was such a big issue, lol

The adventure had been short but amazing. I played through 3(technically 2 since there's no ending for Felicia doing all the work, teehee) out of all the endings so far, but I loved how it changes based on decisions.

I also loved that it is basically a fun little dungeon adventure too, with interesting puzzles and battles. The oil mechanic also surprised me too but it is very nice!

Very good game here! It's like a small part of a whole adventure.

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

I wished it had more endings and variations. I had more ideas planed but... time constraints haha

I hope I get the time to polish it more and release an improved version in the future

This was a very fun little game. I would've liked a couple more options in combat, but given the small scope of the game, it isn't really much of a problem. I especially like the gorgeous map design and the puzzles.

Thank you for playing!

I do agree, the combat is basic... With more time, I plan on releasing a more polished version sometime in the future.

You're very kind about the mapping. Honestly that's something I struggle with a lot haha.

Thanks again!

I am quite impressed - this is a very well put together mini RPG.

Everything is very solid and lovingly done.

I especially appreciate the puzzles, they are well thought out and varied. Not too hard or easy.

One mini gripe is I found the encounters annoying in the sense that they offer no rewards for the player, it's just better to avoid them as they are essentially time sponges with no upside to fighting them.

Other than that - fantastic effort. You kept me invested enough to get to the end.

All the best for the jam :)

Thank you for playing and for taking the time to comment!

Very fair point about the encounters, and I actually agree. I know that's no excuse but frankly... I ran out of time for improving them haha.

I plan on releasing a more polished version sometime in the future.
