Loved the art and enemy impact responses and the music and sound effects fit the theme perfectly! I didn't realise there was multiple guns at first, so the first run through ended up having to sprint away from the boss haha but that being said I loved the feel of the different guns. The art and mechanics of them feel very rewarding. Nice job!

Love the art and the gameplay in this. Really made me want to play more. It was challenging to keep the ammo filled. It really desrves more!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! This is my first game that wasn't just following a tutorial, so I had to learn a lot to make this. I wanted to make it longer, but I ended up breaking the game when I tried to add a new feature a little before the deadline so I was spending a lot of time just debugging that issue and was too scared to add more things to it since the deadline was fast approaching. I definitely want to add multiple levels at some point.
The gameplay and movement feel really good. I love the visibility range and the fast movement — it captures the feeling of an arena shooter or classic Doom extremely well and is a lot of fun. The game doesn’t feel unfair, which I really appreciate. As long as you keep moving and manage your ammo, you can get through just fine — even though I feel the bullet damage is a bit on the high side ;)
The sound design fits really well. The laughter, the background music, and the overall aesthetic work great together, even though the art style is quite simple. The animations are really cool. I think it would have been nice if the bullets were sprites as well — that would have rounded off the art style and fit a bit better.
Out of all the games I’ve played so far, I think this one has some of the best movement. Speed, precision, and overall feel are very well balanced and just feel satisfying. The player responds instantly to input, which is very important to me in a shooter.
The theme is also very well done, and I really like the circus-like music as mentioned before ;) It kept me thoroughly entertained — thanks for this game. Definitely a top 5 candidate for me!
Thanks so much for the kind words, it means a lot to me that you enjoyed the game! I appreciate the feedback about the bullet damage and changing them to sprites. I playtested the game so much and it became so easy for me that I had a hard time gauging the difficulty so I made the bullets damage more but in hindsight maybe a bit too much haha.
The music was very on point for the theme, the level was very sparse though. lots of huge spaces with not a lot of points of interest. Still, I died several times and played through until the end. Some of the sprites for the enemies were very nice also. I particularly liked the big guy and how he goes down.
It took me a while to figure out that I actually already had all the guns and didn't need to pick up any new ones.
Wow, you absolutely nailed this theme! I love how each room has its own enemy type, and the music really pops. I enjoyed every minute of this game, awesome job!
