How does your game fit the theme?
It is a game where you play as a box! And you have to think outside the box, while also trying to escape a box!

The artstyle is amazing and brings the world together! however the audio needs some work to be less abrassive :( also felt a bit awkward jumping with space while also using zx instead of using up arrow to jump.
Thank you! Also sorry about the confusing controls ๐ง and the sounds..
Definitely did it's job at making me mad, as any other souls game. Other than that, it's pretty cool how you managed to make this in just a month, and I had fun playing despite dying every couple of minutes.
Thank you!! Sorry for the rage ๐
this game is really interesting with its aesthetics in terms of visuals (i really like the shadow effect). however, the audio is a bit absent along with being overwhelming. i also had trouble doing the 1st bossfight (mainly due to the health bar blocking my vision, so i would suggest making it transparent or repositioning it to the top). i also like the puzzle platformer genre, but it was too difficult for my skill level (judging that other people commenting had little to no problem with this), yet playing on peaceful mode, so i kind of quit somewhere on the second level.
When the game jam ends I am gonna release an update fixing all these things! But the sounds I don't understand how people hate them so much ๐ญ
i dont hate them, they can be just agitating.
The gameplay felt good, art was good, and was overall an enjoyable experience! The only part I think could be better was the sound design but it still worked well for the game.
Thank you! Sorry about the sounds I literally can't make them ๐ญ
The art of this game was really great and felt stylized. I think if you were continuing to work on this the audio can just be a little overwhelming at times, but didn't take too much from the gameplay
The vibe of the game is really cool, imo the audio could be improved but I understand time constraints with a game jam
Good work :D
The audio is very intimidating lol, but I especially love the aesthetics of it!
Thank you! :D
i liked this game
it is fun and the art is just cool
Thank you :)
It was a cool concept, I liked the game, though I think the audio is a bit head ache-y for me. The controls could be a bit better, I had trouble with the wall jumps a lot for example. Having a cayotee time on the wall jumps would improve them a lot. The platforms aren't the most clearest either. I also found a bug where I accidentally threw away the key and couldn't get it back.
They key glitch was a known glitch, i fixed it. but i couldn't update my game because the game jam sorry :(
I personally like the controls, and the art is great! I can see this being in the collection.
Thank you so much!! ๐
Really good game! Liked the art style and levels, but i do agree with what people mentioned below, controls are stiff and tutorials could be implemented better. But aside from that i really enjoyed it!
Thank you :)
This is a really well made game, I love the art style and while the controls took some time to get used to, it was fun to move around in the level. Speaking of which, the level design is really fun, and I love the way the level guides the player towards going a certain way and to make the player think outside of the box.
The game does throw a lot at the player all at once regarding the controls. At the beginning, I got a bit overwhelmed with all the tutorial prompts while also being thrown into the middle of the action. I also agree with another sentiment on here that the controls are a bit stiff, and to put more words into it - movement feels quite slow, and I think its because the acceleration towards top speed (without holding the X button to run) is pretty slow, only to end up reaching a slow top speed. But thats just me speculating and after playing with just moving around for a few minutes while writing this comment.
Overall though, I do really like this game, and I'm leaving a comment to let you know that I do intend to play through the whole thing because I do like the feel of it despite some quirks and the level design. And oh my god, adding in a level difficulty, cheats, speedrun mode...this is quite the full fledge game. feels like something id find online and play for hours if I was younger. You made something really amazing here!
Thank you so much!!! I plan to eventually remake this game, so I will fix stuff that the comments recommend!

I really liked the designs of the characters and the player move set was surprisingly in depth. Maybe it was just on my screen but the background seemed to have this static effect and it was a little distracting. Great job!
Thank you, also yes I intentionally made it have a static like effect!
Your game is packed with originality, I like the setting and movement. It can also be very challanging at times even on normal mode
This level of game polishing is inspiring!
Thank you so much!! ๐
Very unique concept, and very atmospheric too. It pulls off being a bit unsettling while still having a rather silly style to it all. The character does feel a bit stiff, and I think having the tutorial for dropping items come way before you can obtain another weapon is a little bit evil lol. Still super unique, and I quite enjoyed my time with it!
You can pick up the weapon again with "x"! Also thank you!! But what do you mean stiff?
Hard to put into words exactly, but moving around while jumping feels a bit sluggish, and doing things like jumping off a slope onto a platform took me several attempts from not being able to tell where I was gonna end up after jumping immediately
The walljumping IS really complicated. (sorry about that) and I didn't want to put to much work into the main characters animation, I just wanted him to wobble.
