How does your game fit the theme?
My game fits the theme "Out of the Box" in both its mechanics and its world. Instead of being a traditional shooter where you can fire endlessly (or almost lol), the player has only one shot at a time. If you miss, you must physically recover it while enemies are still attacking, which forces you to think differently, reposition, and adapt under pressure. That core idea pushes the gameplay outside the usual rules of the genre.

This is a really unique and well executed idea! To accomplish everything displayed in this project in just a month is crazy! From the fun and engaging gameplay, to the unique progression this is a well-rounded and insanely fun project! The art direction is insanely cohesive and is supported further by the solid sound design (I adore the pause screen in particular). Amazing submission!
A really cool and fun game! Good music, fantastic art. It gives you a lot of information all at once but you can pretty quickly get the hang of it. Great job!
I adore the artsyle you've got going on and the gameplay feels very fresh and good to play. One small gripe I have though. The transition between the different waves is a little jarring. The way the camera stops and jitters slightly as the new level loads, the music looping at every wave is a bit off too. Maybe this is just a personal opinion but I think it'd be better if it just looped seamlessly. I think a level transition animation would do wonders. Anyways, great job! this is really good stuff.
I totally agree with what you said, we just didn't have time to finish everything in time... some things got cut, but if the game were to come to steam I definitely want to finish it ^^ and thank you so much for your feedback and for playing!
Great game with some really good replayability, great job! Also, the art and artstyle are great too.
REALLY good game, genuienly really enjoyed this. would actrually play this one again its THAT good, LOVE the visuals on this you did really good
Amazing game. I don't really have anything to say. But I did get a game breaking bug during a perfect run (I had infinite and was tearing through the levels) but the moment I killed the last ennemy of a wave (a thief) I suddenly got blasted into the air by god knows what and got downed. I shot two Null (because I had infinite) and suddenly became unable to shoot, so I helplessly died. I died during a stream, so here's the video clip of my death:
https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxrAuXFQOMwjL2wIsVHk3Omwieth5Ny9RD?si=i0xf-tdXU9MA19T...
(also, with the infinite power up, some Null remain loaded and get stuck into place)
Thanks, I really appreciate it! I watched the whole livestream (even though I don't speak French...) but I had fun watching you play :>
Anyway, the "INFINITE" upgrade is more for players who find the game too difficult. If you want the purest gaming experience, avoid buying it, because yes, it breaks the premise of the game to allow everyone to get to the final boss. Then watching the clip of your death... I'm not entirely sure, but I think the Exception enemy teleported to your position, or two enemies hit you from behind at the same time(?) and thanks again for your precious feedback! It's my first video game, so comments like this are very important for me to learn what I did wrong! And thank you so much again
You're welcome. And thanks, I am glad to know you enjoyed it despite not understanding a word of what I said
I see. Well, I'll make sure to avoid using "INFINITE" (unless my outstanding ego gives up on me) and play the game the intended way. I'm glad to now have a clue how I died, and I am also glad to be of service. And once again, amazing game. I'll make sure to tell you if I encounter another issue
Speaking of which, I just remembered it, but the "pull to hand" upgrade just seemed to do nothing. Maybe I tried to use it wrong, but pressing E by itself did nothing, pressing E while dragging Null to me did nothing, running in circle around Null pressing E, and so on and so forth. So I'm worndering what it's meant to do and if I was doing something wrong with it?
The "pull to hand" upgrade is a leftover that I wasn't able to "clean up" in time. The Recovery status (hold Q) was initially an upgrade that had to be purchased in the shop, then it was moved to the default mechanic... so "pull to hand" is nothing more than the ability you already have at the start, it simply remained within the shop's pulls because this change was made 2 days before the end of the game jam! I apologize if this causes confusion f(^_^)
Bro your pfp looks like some characters of my game
That's funny a funny coincidence. My pfp is also a character of mine btw, their mask to be specific. Also it's a decade old character, maybe a bit more
Such a cool game my only critique would be that dying felt a little unfair at times but such a cool concept and it was so fun! I love all the different enemy types.
holy hell man, what a cool ass experience. it should go without saying, but the artistic liberties taken in this project are genuinely mind-bogglingly stunning; i spent quite a bit of time just sitting and staring at my screen because of how wicked it looked. the parkour is really fun too, i wish there was more if it to be honest. insanely sick game.
Playing this now. I’m loving the style, and the old computer sounds.
I dig the concept of only having one shot, and the aim feel pretty good so I don’t mind it. If you’re decent at FPS game, this doesn’t feel too overwhelming. I did get hit in the back a few times by things I didn’t know were there. Maybe the enemies could make a sound as they move around.
I like your upgrade system, there is a lot here for a jam game and you should be proud! Good work and good luck.
The game looks really cool, but I think it lack some challenge. The mechanic with typing menu options is cool (I'm a terminal enjoyer myself), but I think return to game option should just work on the esc button. Also got myself in a position when "null" got stuck to the wall somewhere up and I couldn't reach it. (maybe there was something in the tutorial tbh, if so - its my fault ofc)
I really like the beautiful aesthetic of the game and also some maps there is kind of a parkour element it really add to the gameplay.
the parkour part of the game was initially meant to be deeper... but I had to cut the (in-depth) parkour part of the game for time
Glad you enjoy the game!
This game looked so cool that I had to try it even though I can't really do first person games (the simulation sickness is swift and brutal). Totally worth it. So pretty.
Excited to see you get offered a publishing deal! This is far and away the most feature-rich game I've seen. Very nicely done. And thank you for checking out Postal Apocalypse :)
i love your game dude! Is soo much polish and fun to play ^^
But i dont think my game is soo much good to be in the first position ! (×_×;)
Te lo scrivo in italiano cosi rimane più "intimo"

My favourite visuals in the Jam by far really love your work!!! Would love to see how it develops with more enemy variety and more feedback on projectile impact :> also love the fit to equip upgrade system we did something similar ahah 𐔌՞. .՞𐦯
This game is great. I love the visuals and gameplay, the one bullet mechanic is so cool to play with! My only real issues was that there wasn't more movement options (at least from what I saw I easily could have missed upgrades) and the cubes having to be manually collected, they sometimes spawned in places I couldn't get to and kind of slowed down the gameplay for me. Fantastic game though, had lots of fun playing it.
Very good art, love the aesthetic. Also like the idea of only having one shot that you have to manage. The ram upgrades on top of that also add another element of depth. Also the spike and exception enemies are terrifying when they are barreling towards you super fast. The interaction range for buttons feel a bit short though, which may have led to me accidentally fighting the boss from the debug button in the tutorial (though that was also because I wasn't patient enough for the text to appear on the button). So ended up beating the boss from there before I actually played the game funnily enough.
This game is really cool though, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Congratulations on defeating the tutorial boss! I only managed to do it once! However, if you want to face the boss with the various upgrades, you must reach wave 24 (in a normal run). The button in the tutorial is more intended as an end-game challenge. Anyway, I'm really glad you liked it (^∧^)
super cool game! the visuals are very cohesive and striking.
Congratulations for the game, I really loved it!
This game is super stylish and genuinely fun to play. The mechanics are really amazing, and I love the whole vibe of the game.
Maybe the level design could use a bit more variety but nothing that serious, it is still fantastic.
Overall, it’s a really cool and unique game with a huge potential, so again, congratulations for the submission.
Thanks! I take user feedback seriously for a possible mega update. I want to improve the game, so thanks for playing! _(..)_
Pretty good overall, alot of hicups like the interaction range being very short, enemies getting stuck quite often and more small stuff like this. Still it has nice visuals and the gameloop is engaging enough. Still had a fun time!
