Describe the improvement that you have been working for this jam
- The on-board computer mechanic, you can walk around the command center during mission.
- The command center concept, you are controlling spaceship's droid on the planet's orbit. You can use computers to control the mission.
- The command center view (the planet)
- The map (grid) concept, I was looking for a way to show a structured progress for a player. You must clear area and build some buildings.
- Graphic for the game capsule (in blender)

Game is pretty messy in this build, I am so sorry for this. I am still in a phase of prototyping and searching for the best gameplay in this game concept.

I got still some problems from the previous jam but I wasn't able to solve them yet (thank for the feedback!)

I was hoping for better progress but it was much more harder than I thought.

Describe your game in one sentence
You are controlling the Rootwarden system, designed to conquer any planet in the most optimal way.. Fusion of RTS and cockpit simulation. Manage missions, modify droids in real-time, and optimize colony efficiency.

What feedback are you looking for
What do you think about the command center concept? Do you find it immersive?

Did you try to switch context during the mission? (change between computer)?

A couple of small things I've noticed - when failing the mission return doesn't work and you are left with the amount of resources from previous deployment. Also, the web version seems to be too heavy on my browser, even the desktop build seems to be heavy on my laptop, but that is probably just my laptop is old lol :D

Really liked the UI and how you can see the map from above before deployment so it is easier to plan where to mine resources beforehand which helps. Not sure if it is intended just to see or you can move the area of the deployment but I was not able to change it.

I think when you just deploy the mission it is a bit too bright (maybe just me)

The day cycle feels too long. and feels a bit idle because there is not much to do rather than wait. I really like the idea of going back to the ship while wating, would be really cool to have something to do on the ship while waiting. Though seeing the planet rotation feels a bit confusing because I would expect with that speed to see day over faster :)

I was not able to wait over the day and was defeated :D I saw one enemy unit stuck and thought to mine some resources but it appeared that there were many more stuck over the time and they destroyed my defence in a moment :D :D :D

I like these new concepts you added, its really cool I think to have a map and a switch mechanics to the ship. It feels like a right direction to move!

Tooke me a while to realize what to do, but I'd say it's a pretty interesting concept and I like it.
However the game is too laggy. Took really long time to load, and when I deployed first time it froze for a minute or two.

looking my units fight on computer screen was immersive, although  they died without my guidance.

Also I'd recommend adding simple text in deploy menu such as "pleas select tile/sector to deploy to" that would be pretty useful, because it took me some time some to realize I can do that.

p.s. I just noticed there is downloadable version, I may try it later. hope it'll be less laggy then web version.

I am really glad you like the overall concept

Sorry for the technical problems, I still have some mess in my code. Freeze is my bad, there is a bug in the loading screen logic, it shouldn't happen.  I uploaded version with the fix.

Overall long loading screen is not really solvable on the web version, it doesn't really provide a good way to precompile shaders. I am using it just to make game more accessible to give a try. From my experience it's not really possible to make bigger  3D game with VFX working well on web version, eventually I will be force to me move only downloadable version, but I will keep web version as long as loading screen won't last forever :D

Downloadable version will work much better because it uses different render with ability to precompile shaders.

I don't knot if it's just me, but you might need a bit more on-boarding. I deployed, killed the enemies, killed what It think was their spawn base, mined the minerals, but then I wasn't sure what to do. I build 3 houses, but I don't know what they are for.

I think I'd need to get deeper in the game to evaluate the command center concept. I switched it during the mission, but I couldn't really do anything on the other computer because I didn't have more parts to make different builds.

It might be cool twist on tower defense, but I think you need the game to be a bit more cohesive and guide the player a bit at first.

Thank you for playing and feedback!

I fully understand your feeling. The gameplay is still not here, I still prototyping with it. I am glad you tried to build houses and move around the command center!
