How does your game fit the theme?
The first part of the game is a game inside another game, and you gotta go outside the "box" to go outside the first game and get money to pay for better weapons.

I didn't understand things at first, like that you can press a button multiple times and it'll perform the action multiple times lol. But then I figured out more and more things and it's actually a really well-done and really good game, one of the bests I've played!

Developer(+1)

tysm!! Yeah, maybe I could've worked on a tutorial or something, a lot of people didn't get how to play it at first

I have a dell mouse in which half of the clicks dont resister and i am a coockie clicker player..... this game was made for me

Developer

Never give up, I played Pokémon Ranger with a broken touchscreen jashash

I didn't look at the screenshots or the pitch before played and when it went gamer mode I was pleasantly surprised. I do not have a fast click per minute or an auto clicker so I worked hard to get to gamer mode.

10/10 would click again

Developer

OMG I really wished someone would experience the game like that!! I wanted to do a better transition tbh, but I couldn't spend that much time... A huge goal of the design was making the game fun for both fast and slow clickers, so I'm happy you enjoyed it with a slower click rate hahs
Btw, the web build is fully playable on mobile and a bit easier I'd say if you wanna try haha

The game is charming and has a good hook. I can see a lot of places where this can go post game jam. Goodluck!

Developer

Aw thank you!! I may try to update it a bit after the jam rating, maybe hahs

as someone with 10 clicks per second speed I appreciate being able to kill the enemies before they can even attack lol

very fun incremental game, really like the dynamic of having to switch between two different things, tho I think a little tutorial telling you how each thing works at first would be nice (for some reason i didnt think to mash for resting at first), but once I got the hang of it I had fun :3

Developer(+1)

Thank u!! One of my biggest concerns was making the game equally fun to play for people with different click rates hahsah

Yeah, you are absolutely right, I really wanted to add some kind of tutorial, but it was too much for the time I could spend on this. I thought about doing a simple screen explaining a bit of what's going with just text, but it felt a bit low quality so idk. Most people ended up getting the hang of it before giving up, so I guessed it kinda worked out, but if I had to update the game at some point, that would be priority number one hahahs

Very fun! Great game jam games should always be easy to catch on and fun to keep going, this game does exactly that

I played on mobile (which I'll admit makes the clicking a little easier for me)  but overall good job! Love the game :D

Developer

thaaanks!! Yeah, I tried to make a really jam friendly game haha. I also tried on mobile and I'd even say is MORE FUN than on PC hsahashsa

A really fun clicker game def gave me mega nostalgia vibes lol! I really liked managing gold gain against spending against needing to party and overall had a really fun time!

Developer

Aaah tysm!! I'm super glad u liked it!!

super duper fun. the best video pitch ive seen too.  i was planning of just playing one run so i could review other games, but i ended up playing like four, very addicting. im gonna download the .zip so i can play this later without needing to remember the tab. great work! (killer premise)

Developer(+1)

Omg!!! Tysm! Even downloading omg that makes me super happy!!

This game reminded of those old mobile adventure captitalist like games, especially with the art style too. The art in general is really great and very clear, and I love the sounds and the animation of the buttons and how it all works. Everything felt great!

I found so far that my strategy was to always just attack, then swap to heal, then attack again, because for whatever reason the mobs attack just never gets me if youre quick enough, although that may have been intended design. Something about it felt more like an exploit though. I also had no idea what Charisma would do for me, so I would often just ignore buying items from the shop that gave me charisma - and thats on top of not wanting to shop because I have to pay to enter in the first place.

I think what felt even more bad though was that I didnt really know that you had to manage the Gamer alongside with the Knight, so I thought it would be okay to repeat the strategy I had of just spamming between Fighting and Healing, but then I died and had to start all over . . . man, that put a damper on my spirits. i feel like there should have been like a courtesy save or something when switching over to the gamer side, because the knight side took me a long while

but otherwise the game really gave me that same addictive feel of other clicker games as well. Its really well built and besides some balancing things, the idea would make for a really cool and meta clicker game about managing two lives at once and having one impact the other. Keep it up!

Developer

Heeey tysm!! One of the hardest thing for me designing the game was balancing between fast click people and people who just wont click that fast, so if you are really fast I guess you can kinda go over some of the enemies haha.

Thanks for all the feedback too!!! Definitely some courtesy save would improve the game a lot now that you say it!! Maybe being able to save some gear between runs to make the next run go faster? Glad u liked it tho!

Admittedly I had to use an auto clicker, but even then, it wasn’t just like, auto clicker then brain off, I still had to carefully balance my gameplay between the gameplay loop of the Knight and the gameplay loop of the gamer, and it was just really well done over all!!

Developer(+1)

Ty!! Yeah, it was hard to balance between people who will click really fast and people clicking at a more "normal" pace hahs glad u liked it!!!
