How does your game fit the theme?
Our game requires the player to die in order to progress! Since this is the opposite of what players often want to do in a game, it not only is a bad game idea, but it requires out of the box thinking tin order to beat each level!

The game is so cool. Its a shame that in first level I couldnt move the camera (well sometimes moved randomly a little) and then in second and third level I could, but worked weird. There is some polishing to be done in the programming aspect, so it works and feels better but nice game. For example, the collider in the spikes is should be smaller because now you touch one pixel of that red and black square and you die. The art style is just perfect I love it and, just curious, which program did you used for making voxel art?

Developer

Thank you and we're glad you liked the game! The camera issue is something that we didn't experience before submitting but a ton of people have mentioned it so we definitely need to figure out what's happening and fix it after the jam lmao. Thanks again!

Really creative idea and Ilike the art style but the camera control thing happened to me too. Also the platforming felt a little stiff and the music became a bit repetative but it's overall pretty neat.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

The concept is simple yet unique, the execution is well done overall but has certain issues here and there. Like the movement felt slightly off and sometimes had stutters, and the camera felt too slow even with the highest sensitivity (though that may just be me). Anyhow, the game was fun and I had a great time playing. Good job on this!

Developer

Thanks so much! We're so glad you had fun despite the issues, we definitely wanna clean things up so thanks for the tips! We'll be sure add camera sensitivity to the list of fixes!

The overall idea is unique and gameplay and other mechanics are good but i had a problem while playing that sometimes my mouse is locked but camera is not moving i tried multiple times but it’s still stuck, i don’t know this problem is in my pc only or not. but i liked the concept, sound effects and music.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! We're so happy that it was still fun for you, and sorry about the massive bug! We must not have caught that in testing, but we'll definitely look into it, so thanks so much for the tip! We're glad you liked it though!

very creative platformer! I griefed myself at the start by missing that shift was boost, made it to the third level via bodies alone ahaha

Once I watched the pitch I realised my mistake :p

I like the vibe with the cat ai and the little meow sound effect, and the music was dope too, reminded me of like very early gen pokemon music!

One thing I noticed was that the movement sometimes felt a bit sticky on the floor and like sides of objects, but otherwise very fun.

I liked that the bodies are physics objects too so I could manoeuvre my corpse around :p

Solid game!

Developer

That's so funny yeah maybe we should add like an on screen "Press Shift to dash!" instead of just the dialogue lmao. So glad you liked it thank you for the feedback!

great idea! the artwork and robot  were cute, and i liked the undertone of "evil CEO".  platforms and some collisions were weird, lots of button tapping to get unstuck from places.

Developer

So glad you liked it! And yeah we have some rigidbody stuff to fix lma

Love the voxel look to the game, and it's a really great concept. I'm not sure if this was my computer or the game, the mouse sensitivity was definitely way too low.

Overall though, I enjoyed it.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it thank you so much! We did actually add a sensitivity setting to the game but maybe we should have explained that somewhere in the tutorial lmao.

Submitted

Oh damn, probably should have been self explanatory considering I was looking to change a setting lol.

Aesthetically, I really like it, very, very nice. Gameplay-wise, it's a bit too hard (in terms of movement feel), but you eventually get used to it and it's enjoyable, but it takes a bit of getting used to ^^

Developer

Thank you so much! It definitely ramps up in difficulty pretty fast yeah :(

Really good game, I enjoyed basically everything about it except the camera controls. The camera just sometimes didn't register my input at all, and even when it did the camera was very stuttery, so the camera could use some improvement but besides that, great work!

Developer

Thank you so much we're glad you enjoyed it! We def want to change the camera and make the movement a bit smoother if we end up doing some kind of release!

Neat game! the dialogue was nice, music was pretty good, visuals were great. The gameplay was fun, balanced puzzling and platforming, with both aspects being quite good on thier own. One thing is, when walking into something you can't jump, even when you should be able to.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much We're glad you liked the mechanics! We unfortunately found that bug you're talking about ourselves after we submitted :( we'll definitely fix it should it end up getting some kind of release!

really cool take on the theme, the camera was kinda janky for me, but other than that, it was fun!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! We definitely want to fix the camera (along with a whole PILE of other things lol) but we’re so glad you still enjoyed it!

Really clever twist on the “9 lives” idea, and I love how previous deaths become part of the solution rather than just failure states. The writing and CEO bits add a lot of charm, and I could totally see this expanded into a longer game with more factory visuals and slightly tighter movement.

Developer

Thank you so much we're so glad you liked it! In a full version we would definitely want to have some variation on the types of factory levels!

Submitted(+2)

Very underrated game with a lot of charm and even dialogue. Such a creative idea to use past attempts to help you proceed and to have 9 lives like a cat. Snappier movement would help though

Developer

Thank you so much we're glad you loved the idea!

id say work more on player movement

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah we definitely want to improve the controller given more time.

(+2)

This game was so fun and witty! The movements felt really good and I loved the story with the CEO. I think it would be awesome to have some more factory assets for visual variation!

Developer

Thanks so much! We're so glad you enjoyed it! Given more time we would absolutely love to add more assets too. (And extra thanks for actually reading the story, that is very appreciated lol)

Great game.  The only thing holding it back really is that the platforming mechanics are a bit janky.  If you fixed that, I could imagine people paying money for a full game of this.  Imagine people doing challenge runs where they try to beat the game using the fewest possible deaths.

Developer

Thank you so much Tommy! And yeah we definitely want to refine the character controller a lot more given more time.
