  • Great work on your Vampire Survivors clone. Whilst there isn't a definition of done for this game, I think you have all the core features of the game - autoattacks, xp and a selection of upgrades at level up. With some more time and content, and some music, you could have a pretty good survivors-like game.

The game while fun for me, had some issues. I wasn't a fan of how the bow was automatic. I think with a WASD control layout the player could control it with the mouse. There was also no feed back for enemy damage, save for the health bar, which is nice but left me wondering if I was taking damage or was it something it. Other than that I can see what you were going for and was doing a good job trying to reach it.

I liked this game, it was interesting and unique and I liked the art. The controls were hard to use on web though and I felt like the difficulty increased quickly but my weapon and run speed remained the same making it hard to fight and since I couldn't run very well I died a lot haha

Doing Survivors is very ambitious, especially for a first jam!

Playing on Web did feel a little janky, and maybe needs a bit of tuning, but overall good graphics choices and all the systems!

This was good for your first time. I never played the original,  but I did see someone make a vampire survivor clone as a course (for Unity of course) and I say that you hit it very well. It is a completed game. The attack times are too slow for the arrows and the controls were not the best, but you did a fantastic job, be proud.

Thanks!

I haven't really played Vampire Survivors before to compare, but my initial impressions were I did not like the controls and that the attacking felt a bit slow with the full rotation taking a long time, and the wait between arrows. Graphics were pretty well done. There's a bug where if you die and level up in the same action, nothing is clickable anymore. Still a good job on your first game jam.

I recently started in game development, so I’m still learning. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey! Congrats on the first jam! Really solid aesthetics, wish you had some keyboard controls, cuz the mouse dragging is a bit awkward.

Thanks! I developed it on mobile, so I wasn’t able to do much testing on PC.
