This was so entertaining ! The mechanics are easy to get a hang of once you get used to it, I think the tutorial would be even better if it explained the fights when you summon the demons and add a little waiting time when the focus minigames start because on certain occasions (like the one where you have to avoid the boxes with your mouse), the screen would close almost inmediately because I went over a box. Other than that it was great !!
Thank you soo much for the support / feedback! (love ur pfp!) I've gotten these complaints before i'll be sure to add that in once the game jam ends! Thanks again!
I really like the art and vibe of the game, didn't like the music that much though. The tutorial confused me a bit but the game was pretty easy to understand, the window with information about the box could have a different border since sometimes I confused it with one of the windows you need to close. I also felt like the main gameplay with sealing the boxes was pretty boring, the battles with the monsters were fun though. I was able to beat the boss. The minigame where you need to avoid the boxes with your cursor could have like half a second of wait before starting so it doesn't automatically end. Overall it was pretty enjoyable.
Thank you soo much for the feedback! The music isn't for everyone; I probably should've added some settings so people didn't have to listen to it if they didn't want to. The tutorial was a bit convoluted, my bad. I made the 3 days before the jams end. I should've probably taken more time to make it understandable. I admit I got pretty lazy with the windows, very valid complaint (I caught myself trying to close it a lot). The sealing part can be a bit dull, if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them. Really, I think you're the first to beat PAIMON. A buffer before you start the minigame would be a great feature to add to ease player into the game. Thank you lots for the feedback!
I think with the sealing, the problem is that you're pretty much just holding your mouse button most of the time, sometimes clicking it. This gets pretty repetitive quickly, it's not really hard and it's just slow. I think having a certain path that you need to follow to draw the seal would be cool. Purple could be just holding mouse button and following the path, red to click certain spots in the path and yellow maybe something like a toy catcher machine where you need to stop at a certain spot to fill a portion of the seal. With this there could also be differently sized/complicated seals with higher difficulty. Obviously it's a pretty big redesign but those are just some of my thoughts.
Thank you soo much! I was thinking of making this a full release and making it most fun is my number 1 priority.
Very cool game with a very solid gameplay loop. The music is great, but I wish there were sound effects. Additionally while the gameplay loop is good, I think that the 20 boxes to "win" was a bit heigh, and the tutorial a bit long. Imo I think a structure that would help a ton would be to have smaller "levels" and introduce more mechanics each level. Overall this is super good, great job!
Thanks for the feedback! The tutorial was long maybe I could show the player how to play instead of slapping text on the screen. Do you think something like 10 or 15 boxes would've been better or more enjoyable and do you have any mechanics that you think would make it more fun? Again, thanks for the feedback, and if theirs anything else I'm always looking to improve!
I think 10 boxes would be decent, but it would also depend on playtesting. When it comes to mechanics, I can't think of more off the top of my head, but it would be nice if the mechanics currently in the game were split so there wouldn't be a need for as much of an "explaining" tutorial, but more of giving the player the packaging mechanics first so they can learn that before the demon popups appear. Anyways, this game is very good, thanks for making it :D
Thanks for the feedback =D
The art is really good, music fits the game well, overall idea is great. I would say that popup windows drive me a bit insane as they are popping up right on the text, heath bars and progress bars on the box, which make the gameplay a bit confusing. Like I'm still not sure why the enemy emerged from the box while I had plenty of time but had to click on the popup right on the box to see the progress. Anyway, it's a great game and I think it has some real potential.
Thank you so much for the feedback! I originally made a variable to stop thoughts from appearing in front of text, but then my whole game started breaking and I only had like, a day before submission. That's really something that needs improving, thanks for pointing this out. I should make the health and POWER bar more distinguishable; they do kind of look the same. The pop-up AI could use some modifications. Thank you for the feedback and support!
It's totally ok, my game also appeared buggy and broke 2 days before submission... I know what it is like . :)
Games these days.(lol)
Pretty fun game! Mechanics and music are nice, and the pixel art is very charming- only gripe is that the normal seal takes a little too long to complete
Thank you, Valid feedback!
I'm a bit biased towards turn based games and the focus mechanic really reminded me of stuff like Undertale and Deltarune. Pretty fun overall so great job!
Yeah, I really like Deltarune and Undertale. I kinda felt like a copycat, but I guess it worked out. Thank you soo much for the feedback
Loved this a lot ā the concept is delightfully strange, and the way the mechanics tie into āthinking outside the boxā feels really satisfying in play. The art style fits the tone perfectly and makes the battles feel memorable.
Thank you. I'm still trying to figure out what artstyle just...FITs...in my eyes. Its reasuring you like it! Also thanks you sooooo much for the support
This reminds me of Pokemon but in reverse. Very fun and creative game

Very unique, loved the art and game play too!
Thank you soo much for the support. Hmmmmm......? Are you in a box? It would be a shame if I..If i had to seal you... >:]
J.K. Thanks again.
What a weird combination of ideas its very cool
Thank you so much! Its quite odd isn't it...
Super fun and creative!
Thank you very much!
WOW! This was really fun actually. I thought the art was great and gameplay was unique.
Thank you SOOOOOO much. I really didn't think my game was that fun. And I'm glad you didn't think it was convoluted. Yeah, thank you so much!
