How does your art incorporate the theme?
Penrose Purgatory is the name of my submission. It’s a world I had a dream about the night after the competition was held, after I saw the theme. The piece is basically an idea for an afterlife world based primarily on the concept of Penrose triangles and their mind breaking structure. With a bit of worldbuilding and some eye creatures and symbols, I managed to make an eerie vibe out of it. Overall, I feel it encapsulates the theme of Underworld.

I like this a lot! I don’t often see geometry used for underworld imagery or horror. But I think the repeating lines and patterns overlapping endlessly gives the viewer a sense of entrapment, and lostness. Great job!
