Holy bananas, I love the gameplay and art of the game, the monkey is really cute and the world building is crazy! However, I did have a bit of trouble reading some routes, a bit too dark at some spots. The camera limitation when looking up is also a bit annoying, making it also hard to see some grappable objects and where to go next, sometime the double jump is a bit weird but thats just a small nitpick. Overall, the game is really great and enjoyable, great job!

Absolutely bananas!
This game looks great and has so much character.
I watched your dev video and it really highlights how much work there was to do!
It comes across as a "real" game not just a jam entry, really well done. Reminds me of one of the death run XP games you get in fortnite mixed with crash bandicoot/ 3D Mario.
Awesome Job and good luck in the Jam
WOAH. AMAZING VISUALS, really amazed by the look of this game, it look really gorgeous!
The polish level is insane! Both controller, visuals - astonishing results for 2 week jam. Really-really well done.
The difficulty could be a tad lower though, it is a cozy and family friendly looking game, but actual platforming is anything but!
But a fantastic result nonetheless. Keep it up!
Absolutely in awe by the visuals. So so gorgeous with an amazing atmosphere and world, and I would absolutely love to see this expanded post-jam.
Gorgeous game ! It's really impressive that you managed to do so much with only two people.
I loved the mood, the level art is very polished overall. You two did a terrific job ! :)
Overall feels good, great music and art style and the theme is incredibly well reflected, however there were times where it felt a bit unpolished, such as visual clarity in where to go at certain points, so some more time spent on polish would go a long ways. Impressive for 2 weeks though.
I loved the game! We really really different approaches to similar concepts. Made all the way to the end and enjoyer it a lot!
My ps5 controller didn't work, but keyboard and mouse work just fine as well
A really great platformer! The jump dash definitely gives me the vibes of Super Mario Odyssey. Nice twist with the monkey swinging. For some feedback:
- I think the swinging felt a bit stiff sometimes. The grounded movement was much more fun than the swinging movement for me. It was also difficult for me to gauge the height of where my swing would be. The portion where I had to swing to get 4 bananas in a row was hard in an unintuitive because of that.
- The portion after the 4 bananas and breaking the arms is where I got stuck in a crevice. Near the right side of the corner bend after that section.
- An ability to change the sensitivity would be very appreciated in this game
But overall the level design was fun. Flowed quite well. The mechanics were fun. The movement was fun. The art was very good. Super great game for the jam!
A very visually stunning game, the controls were smooth in most place! I did find myself accidently sliding of the platforms just after landing a jump, felt like some input sensitivity needs to be adjusted there. But loved the overall vibe of the game. Great work!
Best-looking game I've played so far this jam, really an incredible job on the visuals. Both in using the engine very well and in the art assets if you made them yourselves. Music and sounds were also very nice and fitting.
The gameplay I thought was more of a mixed bag from my perspective. Incredibly ambitious to attempt a full 3D platformer like this, so high marks for shooting high, and sometimes I really liked it, but I often did find it frustrating. I was able to complete the first level without too many frustrations, and I do like hard games, so I didn't mind having to re-try a lot as I got toward the end and the difficulty ramped up. The second level, I tried dozens of times to get past the first banana and just couldn't figure it out, most of the time I'd die on the first set of spikes because the banana invincibility ran out so fast, but even when I managed to jump off it in time, I couldn't figure out where to jump to next and would just fall in the water and die. Eventually I had to give up. I feel like I was maybe missing something, but when I tried to look around while making the jumps I couldn't figure it out.
The third level was a lot better again, but when I got to the section with the two fists slamming together, I could get past the falling balls and the twin bananas, but the next platforming section I kept running into stalactites and falling to my death. Again, a couple dozen tries or so and I had to give up, but the level was really cool up to that point.
Aside from that, I'd also suggest lowering the camera sensitivity for controllers a bit, as it was extremely twitchy. And the grapple hook tail mechanic, while cool, seemed very dependent on how you entered into the jump and hard to predict where the monkey would go, so could maybe use some fine-tuning there as well.
With all of that said, I think this might be the most ambitious game I've played in this jam, and I think it is amazing the amount of great-looking content and interesting mechanics you were able to put into this thing. I'm guessing you just ran out of time to really polish up the level design and mechanics, which I totally get. You also hit the theme really well so high marks for that.
Incredible work!
This is a lot of amazing feedback! Thanks a lot
Yes we did make all the assets ourselves from scratch, except for the music.
I was definetly intending for a try again till you make it experience, dying a lot, but It turned out a bit too challenging
That specific part you mention on the second level is confusing. After jumping from the first set of spikes, you're supposed to head left, grapple on a root and jump onto a platform that has a banana to get through the arrows. The level is straightforward from that point on.
For the third level, if you could get past the falling balls and the twin bananas, you already won. There is a section on top that contains the ending.
Thank you for trying out the project and for the kind words! We'll keep all your feedback in mind for a patch fixing the game!
The controls are very nice, and the mood is great with the background music and all! But it's a bit difficult (for non-skilled players like me at least). The character is absolutely adorable and beautifully animated.
That said, I feel obligated to report this to the Animal Protection Society—because swinging around by a monkey’s tail seems like some pretty extreme activity 😄 I’m sure he’s well-trained, but it still looks like it might hurt! Maybe next time consider giving the little guy a rope… or even a batarang.
I would definietly cap the fps to 60 in order to ease the gpu!
Hands down the BEST ART! optimisation luckily wasn't as much of a problem for me, even tough i dont like platformers at all this one did feel fun. Amazing visuals 👍
Your game is very beautiful! Would you think about continuing it after the game jam ends? It seems very good, congratulations
Thak you!!! Also, yes we would like to polish some things such as performance and some bugs, but in terms of new levels we aren't looking forward to. We would like to add some things such as a final cutscene when you get to finish all levels and grab the legendary seed and also a grandma in the begining that tells you about the legendary bananas.
This game looks gorgeous! Unfortunately, I can not give much more feedback than that because it would not run on my computer well.
The visuals are great! The lighting in particular is standout! Unfortunately it also meant i ran into some performance issues on my dinky pc lol But blown away by how cool this looks, great work for just 2 weeks!
Thank you! We are more artists than developers so we just experimented with lots of techniques for the artstyle. Sadly we bit more than we could chew with the foliage, and the forest part runs poorly if you don't play looking down all the time.
Thanks for checking out our game, we are big fans of yours!
