Very cool game! I loved the mechanics and the graphics. I had a lot of fun throwing the weapon and damaging enemies!

You play as Gadreela, a high ranking officer of the Nephelim army. You must gather enough psychic energy from your enemies to power your armies secret weapon and destroy the enemy fortress.

I sometimes order "assorted candy bags" from amazon. Its a pretty good deal and I highly recommend

The gameplay is nice and the pixel art is cool + I love the ability to teleport onto your weapon! Good job :)
You shouldn't have put the controls on J key. Other than that I really enjoyed playing the game
The graphism and the souds effects make this game really satisfasing.
At first I thought the controls for summoning and tossing/teleporting felt a little off or unconventional. But after a few seconds it really clicked with me and felt smooth. Once I realized it was auto-targeting, it just became such a breeze. Really put me into that "flow state". It's honestly a really great mechanic overall and super fun.
Hey this comment really made my day. That "flow state" you described is really what drew me to hack-n-slash/action centered video games and its something thats harder for me to find these days. I think of games like prince of persia or ninja gaiden where you could just chain combos from one foe to the next.
I think summoning the spear kinda threw some players off. My reasoning was basically "Well, its a seperate sprite anyways and maybe some players would like to move the player sprite around without the spear all the time" - yet I forgot to include anywere that you can also despawn the spear lol.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to play the game!
thank you for making a game that someone with poor reaction time like me can pass! Also the spinning attack and jumping animation was super smooth and it felt really good to play! I loved that the weapon boomerangs back to her hand and u need to wait for the weapon to come back. And also that u can throw ur weapon to enemies and signs and teleport there! Love that!
Great game! The teleportation mechanic is so fun. Kinda want to know more about the lore behind the game.
Yay! I do have lore fleshed out that unfortunately didnt really make it into the game. Lately, for whatever reason I've been reading a lot of summaries of early christian/abrahamic (non-biblical) texts. So the lore of this game is losely inspired by The Book of Enoch. The "Watchers" are basically what we think of as "Angels" today. In the game, they are simply another humanoid race of unknown origin. The main character, Gadreela, is a Nephelim. Nephelim have both Human and Watcher blood. Nephelim and Humans are essentially enslaved by the Watchers. They were given some dedicated reservations of land and the ability to govern themselves, but they are largley oppressed and forced into abject poverty. The Cherubs are unfortunatly a result of Watchers breeding with Nephelim. They are sorta kept secretly isolated because they are constantly trying to destroy things. Basically they are born in a persistant state of misery. Because of that they have very strong psychic energy which can be weaponized.
Sorry if that got a little too nerdy and weird. I don't know why I love making up stories; there's still a child in me I guess!
Anyway, thank you so much for playing!
Prettty coooll game, loved the concept and gameplay. Keep up to good work i thibk u ve got a talent fr and thanks for the candy bag recommendation o7
Really cool game :) I love the teleport mechanic. At some point I wasn’t able to get any higher but I don’t think I reached the highest platform yet. Maybe I missed something. Really cool project, amazing job!
I really enjoyed this one. I was going through the jam submissions while using my TV remote and so I played this on my TV remote which was a wild time. Loved it though! Looks great.
