It's the first time i play a runner on RPGM, i didn't know that it was possible ! I think that i lack the skills to complete the game and the delay on the controls didn't helped me.
In any case, well done for your game !
I am truly terrible at your game. The controls need to be reworked. Although, that may be my own skills with a keyboard causing me difficulties, as opposed to using a gamepad which I would prefer. The music is a banger though.
Thanks for the feedback.
I like the concept, the controls were a little bit difficult to get used to because of input delay.
Good work!
Thanks for playing.
The controls feels little clunky, and it is very difficult to tell what is going on imo.
Idk if it an rpg maker issue, but the game is not running smoothly for me
Is an RPG Maker problem.
I liked the game’s Atari-style concept. It just takes a bit of time to get used to the controls. Great job for a game jam entry !
Thank you.
I liked your game, but as some comment has already said, as constructive criticism, some controls are not working. But the game is wonderful, keep it up, congratulations!
Thanks you for playing. I have learned a lot from your feedbacks.
The game is ok, and I like the concept. The problem is it felt a bit janky.
Thanks for playing and the feedback.
Hey Hiro! Congrats on finishing the jam! I really liked the visual direction you took here, especially the way you used color separation for the different skills — it makes the game look very vibrant and helps to distinguish what's happening on screen. The whole aesthetic and the dodging focus really reminded me of the bullet-hell segments in games like Undertale or even some classic Touhou-style arcade games. I did feel that the controls were a bit of a challenge to master, probably due to the engine's specifics, but the sound design and the core concept are definitely solid. Great effort on putting this together!
Thanks a lot. Glad you enjoyed it.
Going after an RPG-Maker made game is a low-hanging fruit, because it usually is a sign of somebody's first ever game (I should know, I was one of those at that age ~). So I'll try to be as nice about this as humanely possible:
The controls in this game are very janky . . . in that they barely work. My button inputs are barely being registered half the time. There's an over-inflation of gameplay mechanics, none of whichreally synergize or interact with one another, and they also barely function as well
I'm not here to shit in your morning-cereal, I'm trying to provide realistic criticism and the brass-tax. Which, admittedly, is a mute point considering that this is an RPG-Maker game. But both positive encouragement and also "negative" feedback alike are healthy for one's growth and improvement
Kindly do not take this into heart. You will improve from this with time and practice, we all have ~
No worries, what you saying is right. Many of the criticism of my game, was lagging screen, control problems, and building a game like that in the wrong engine. Thanks for feedback. I will improve on my mistakes.
I really love the concept of the game, this reminds me of touhou kind of games! I love the mechanics and the color separation for each skill. However, the controls can be a little bit clunky and awkward sometimes. Overall, I really enjoyed playing this game, a little bit more polishing and it will be really nice to play!
The controls and the screen movement was a big problem in my game. I will improve next time. Thanks for the feedback.
I liked the sound effects and the concept is pretty cool, but it being made on RPG Maker feels like it drags the game down a bit, since it's not an engine made with this type of game in mind, which makes the controls feel laggy at times. Maybe switching over to a different engine would be a better move, but it still was fun, congrats
Thanks, I'm still learning other engines. But I'm not that familiar with it yet.
Hey Hiro!
It was a fun game. I really enjoyed the music you used and the sound effects. The controls were a little hard to follow at first because they were so extensive. I also think maybe making the same game in a different engine would be better to make it a smoother experience. But it was a fun game! You should be proud of what you made
You made me smile. Thanks
Nice game concept! The framerate felt a bit laggy on my system, but the controls were easy enough to understand. It’s a bit of a task to remember the entire help menu on the title screen. An ideal way would be to integrate the instructions within the game.
Thanks, really appreciate it.
I think you’ve got some neat ideas here, but sadly I couldn’t get very far into the game to experience them. I’m not so sure that RPG Maker is the best engine for making a game like this, as I kept dying less than a minute into each run from trying to grapple with the controls. I’ll see about giving it another go at some point though, I want to give this a fair shot.
Thanks for playing.
