YOoooo I like how hitting different parts of the plane gives you different text and amount of points, that's a cool detail. Aside from movement controls, I think one thing that would help your game is incentives. You have a point system, which is good, but even with points, there isn't a clear motivation for someone to hit these planes. Especially since it's a repetitive task, you're hitting the same planes more or less the entire gameplay. Something to add variation and incentive to hit the planes, I think, would go a long way to make it more fun. Also, I'm still not entirely sure what that bar on the left means, so having an in-game explanation for that may help, but also maybe I'm just slow. Good job on the game!
Thanks for this insightful feed back it means a lot, I will definitely work on it.
Fun concept but the execution could be improved, I noticed that when I attempt to crash into the jets, sometimes I instead bounce off of them, which kills all forward momentum and gets me hit by missiles,Another way that the experience could be improved in my opinion would be to split vertical and horizontal sensitivity into 2 seperate sliders, as Ithink finer control over the mouse sensitivity would go a long way for this game since it's very reliant on mouse movement to direct the superhero. Overall, Solid Homelander experience
Thanks for your feedback, I will certainly work on it
I had difficulty with the controls. My vertical movement was fine, but my horizontal movement kept snapping to its original direction. This prevented me from actually being able to turn. It was a fun concept though.
Thanks for playing
For me the screen was moving way too fast. I could barely see and aim. When I move the mouse like one inch, is like I have taken 180 degree turn. A little background music would be nice.
Hi, thanks for the review, did you tried changing the sensitivity
I noticed it later.
Really liked the design of the planes and the variety in it. It's fun to see the wobbly arms of our superhero and globally it's a well made game ! The flying mechanics feels good, but i find it a little frustrating to just "bump" against plane when we touch them by the rear (it feels weird to say that out of context ;3;)
It's great game to pass time !
Thanks for the review
I had fun flying through the jets. Haha! I'm not sure if it only happened to me, but my mouse is locked in the Y-direction so I can't look around. I can only fly through the jets that are in front of me. Other than that, I had fun playing this. Great job!
Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely look into that bug.
Played this while listening to some songs. Some of the songs I would recommend listening to while playing this:
- Where's my head at
- Proteção divina (Yun li)
- Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows
- Any song made by Azali
- Igaku / Medicine or any other kasane teto song
The game also controls very nicely, and I had fun destroying the United States Air Force, 10/10 would be homelander again
Thanks for playing and the song recommendation. Definitely, I will try those songs while playing the game
5/5 theme for sure. Flying feels very good. Good Job!
Thanks
HAHA dude I totally was not expecting this, I mean ofcourse thre'd be a superhero type game in the jam but this nailed it for me, the flying the destruction, the red gloves and blue suit, I just felt like homelander taking a morning flight.
Thank you for absolutely blessing me with this banger of a game!
Thanks for the comment, made my day
Anytime man, gotta spread love
Very creative gameplay
Thanks
I think this is the highest rating I've given yet on theme, you absolutely nailed "invincible" by going in this direction. Really creative and cool core gameplay too, and the soundscape stood out, very immersive. This feels like with some more work and polish and a little more to it, it could be a legit arcade cabinet or something. Fine work!
Thanks for your insightful feedback means a lot
I think the theme of the game really matched the game jam well! Since it looked like a flying simulator, I thought there would be more physics like drifting but it seems like the player stops pretty quickly, so it took some time to get used to. Other than that, if there was a bigger goal besides getting a higher score and some progression, then I can see this become more like an actual game!
Thanks for your feedback and for playing the game. It means a lot. I will certainly work on those in the future
Playing as superman is really fun! The gameplay was simple and easy to understand, the jets explosion effects and sound is nice!
Thanks for playing, and your feedback means a lot
An awesome Superman simulator! Really enjoyed smashing the jets! Great work!
Thanks, played yours too, awesome work
