Really fun! The art is great, and the game is very polished! There's so many synergies giving a lot of depth, and overall fun to progress and play!
Fun little idle game with dev elements, i'm just sad that there isn't audio during the first part of the game. That aside, it could be the type of games that i could play for hours ! :D
There should have been background music and keyboard sounds? It may have gotten messed up, I'll have to see later.
It seems most of the sound is just broken when exported, how strange, the actual gameplay video has the audio (recorded on the non-exported version in the engine) if you were wondering how it was meant to sound, but how strange a problem, I'll have to take more care of the audio properly functioning next time.
On review of the problem, it seems I was loading the background music and the button-click sound incorrectly, leaving only the cash earn sound functioning properly, whoops.
Not my cup of tea but, I could see some of my friends and family spending hours on this game. The cubical gridwork is a brilliant idea.
I loveee this concept, it's such an interesting idea! The game is incredibly polished and well-made, and I think it's super addictive.
I liked the style a lot. The game is very polished as well.
The incremental part of the game is really well though out. I like the grid concept a lot instead of just clicking something or just waiting for the money to be generated. It gives it a layer of strategy.
I think the game could work better without the beginning part. I type enough code for work/games as it is 😭
But overall great work, I enjoyed it a lot
Happy to hear you enjoyed!
Amazing concept for this jam! And a very addictive game as well. Enjoyed playing it! Great work!
Very addictive. I had fun time playing it. I would like if there could be slow gentle background music. Nice work.
There was intended to be, I apparently didn't properly set up the audio to work when exported, but to work fine in the editor, so, whoops T-T.
The idea is very cool, I played until the end and had a lot of fun! I really like the overall experience, but I think the balance could use some adjustments. The pricing feels a bit too low, so it might be worth rethinking how developers, project managers, and other elements interact with each other. At some point it becomes less meaningful, since I was still able to beat the game easily, haha. Overall, a very solid and fun game!
Balance is definitely one of the points I didn't pay as much mind to, mostly since I figured a bit of imbalance is what makes these types of games fun often, attempting to find just which combination is the least balanced. But I'll make sure to take it into more consideration, thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed!
very creative and addictive game, very good game and really fun, congratulations
Glad you enjoyed!
Wow, the art style is amazing, and it is really fun, but that is because I really like incremental games. 5 stars for art.
Glad you enjoyed the game, and thanks a lot! Art and music is usually my weak part so I'm glad the art was good enough for 5 stars :D
Really liked the art style, it gives the game a strong identity right away. Not usually into this kind of game, but this one pulled me in and was actually pretty fun. I’d really appreciate it if you could rate my game too
I'm very glad you liked the game! I'll make sure to rate yours as soon as I get the chance!
I'm not a fan of incremental games but I still enjoyed playing this, great job!
Glad my game managed to be enjoyable even for someone not into the genre!
I love the incremental game! the sound effects are nice and pretty satisfying to listen to. However, here's a little nitpicking, the symbol "&" is a bit hard to see because of the font, it might have a little problem for completely new players! Overall, the game is really nice, great work!
I can see how the & could be an issue yeah, it's always one of the harder symbols to make work in a low resolution, thanks for the feedback!
The grid layout for the incremental part was quite unique, very creative! That intro making me feel like I'm at work though XD there could be an interesting game out of just that part somewhere maybe.
It was fun! I'm a fan of incremental games too so it definitely scratched a certain itch. Nice sound fx used to make it feel juicier. I agree that the code bit in the beginning was a tad too much. Players coming into this aren't going to want to have to type so much if it's not a typing game. But the actual gameplay afterwards was very satisfying! Enjoyed it.
I'd say the partial un-appeal of the coding section is intentional to introduce the main idea, as it makes you want to just skip through it by submitting no/bad work, which yields you different transitions to the incremental part after which help the game play further into the theme. Even if you submit nothing for all 4 snippets, you'll manage to be promoted to manager.
Glad you enjoyed the other part of the game though, and thanks for taking the time to provide feedback!
The intro where you have to re-type all of the code is one of the strangest in the context of gaming but most mundane in the context of my actual life things I've ever seen, haha. I'm still not sure whether I liked it or hated it, but I can honestly say it's the first time I've pressed the backslash key during gameplay in a very, very long time. I do think it could stand to be about half as long though, it overstays its welcome a bit.
The actual main core gameplay loop, the idler/incremental game, I thought was well done and I personally haven't seen it done on a grid this way before. It was interesting thinking about all the different modifiers and where to put things until they leveled up to avoid negative effects and things like that. As addictive of a game loop as ever, of course. I got to the end, which was very funny.
Nice work building a whole proper game like this for a game jam!
I actually made it to be a tad long on purpose, it can make you want to not type it in it's entirety, and based on how you type it you get a different transition into the manager sequence, as regardless of how you perform you will end up promoted to manager (the dialogue in these transitions plays a bit more into the theme as well). And there is also the small easter egg of getting a perfect score from just submitting after typing 'invincible', since I realized it would be a pain to have to type everything for the good transition (especially in testing).
Overall though, glad to hear you enjoyed the game! Yours seems quite impressive as well (even if I did manage to get stuck on one of the first bodies on my first try)
Enjoyment 5/5 but can't see anything related to theme. Other than that it was great game. Well done!
Yeah the connection may be a bit looser than other submissions, the main idea was an invincible corporation (as in, any attempt at making it perform worse instead improve it, E.G.: Not performing your job well as an employee/the meteor). I felt it justifiably connected, but I can see how it would be a bit loose of a connection to the theme.
