Interesting idea for your theme, I love turn-based games and your game reminds me a lot of chess, congratulations!
Really interesting and fun game! I enjoyed it a lot.
A great example of a simple yet very effective design. Excellent
I like strategy games.
It was fun to play. Since I didn't want to go back to lvl 1 for the upgrades, I enjoyed the feast or famine thrill of beating the last levels raw.
Interesting concept :) I liked the color palette. I missed the fact that the archer could have been a ranged unit capable of attacking from a distance. I think with a little tweaking, it could be fun to play on a mobile device.
This was cool, the use of the different tiles and effects was fun to play around with.
That’s a great game! It’s simple enough for casual players, but still makes me feel like a strategist. Good job, man!
I played for a bit and didn't quite understood that return to the hub meant that I had to restart from lvl 1 (i read to quickly your itch.io page). But I really like the strategy of the combat :)
As of right now it's may be a bit to repetitive and the return to the hub is a bit frustrating but I quite like the idea of returning "home" to get stronger before the next battle. Just wish it impacted more the gameplay in order for you to really get past fast the first ez round and really get the feeling of "I am stronger now" (like you improve your horse man and now he can do a super attack or something like that not just stat upgrades).
Congrats for the game :)
Fun game!
Was good to play
Good luck in the Jam
Really cool game. While I don't see how this fits the theme, I like the idea and the scenarios. I'd say it is on the easier side and probably the difficulty curve can get steeper quicker than this but it was fun. Art is pretty cool too. Good work!
This is such a great strategy game. I had so much fun!
Fun little game. Definitely shows promise!
Really enjoyed this game!
Great game. Had fun playing it.
Well done on the game, the loop is enjoyable I had a good time. I found the ai a bit too easy to take advantage of but very solid otherwise congrats !
Yes, actually the AI is very basic, and once you understand the mechanics, the game gets easier. Since this is a game jam version, I prioritized polishing the game. But if I continue, AI will be my first priority. Your comments and feedback are very valuable to me, thank you.
A Fire Emblem -like, this game was made specifically for me it seems ~
The turns should end automatically once all of your actions are exhausted, and I get why the double-movement exists (because you can either spend your turn on moving or attacking, and it probably would have been difficult to code those into separate actions) but it is a bit silly still. Other than that, I know where my high ratings will go ~
Thank you for your comment and feedback. I want to offer a more fun, logical, and complex gameplay experience by changing other factors without altering the core loops and mechanics. If I continue with the project, I will make changes to the gameplay. Your opinions are very valuable to me, and I will take them into account when making these changes. Thank you so much.
I will look forward to this project with great interest ~
Solid gameplay, nice game!
Thank you so much for your comment.
The art style has a great aesthetic to it! I was kind of confused on which units were mine in the beginning so it would help if they were a different color. Once I learned how the AI moved, the game was easy. I played until the end and once the characters get strong, I felt invincible!
Thank you so much for your comment. If I decide to pursue this project further, AI and unit designs will be my first focus.
Solid game, the strategy loop is just enough to keep you going. I had issues with the loop tho, about when to go to shop and how to use your coins. And also AI getting stuck,
I wanted the player to think, at the end of each round, "Did I collect enough gold? Should I go to the shop with this gold and buy an upgrade? Or can I skip another round without upgrading? I'll upgrade with more gold later." But since it's a jam version, once you understand the logic, I think you only need to go once after level 3. Thank you so much for your feedback.
