It was a bit complicated to get into the game but I quite enjoyed the wind up mechanic (+ audio), but after that I was stuck, the interraction on the box made appear two square but I didn't get what to do. May be you should make some gifs on the itchio page to explain it a bit more ;). I would love to play it again if you have some tips for me.

Good game :)! The difficulty curve is perfect, at first I felt it was a bit to random not knowing which strength the ennemy will have but then based on the look I could easly tell which one to send, and the way that you can still send unit after the first group lost was cool and nice! May be having a small preview at the ennemy attack type could be an improvement.
Also I've enjoyed discovering new unit :D. Well done, good take on the theme !
One small thing that I did not get was why some unity where ressurected and some not.
The system was not clear at first even if you tried your best to explaining it to the player. But after playing around it was nice just doing some drawing and seeing how much it value.
I wish I understood how the hint part work and what is the goal of this? Is there a secret drawing to find that value a lot?
I played for a bit and didn't quite understood that return to the hub meant that I had to restart from lvl 1 (i read to quickly your itch.io page). But I really like the strategy of the combat :)
As of right now it's may be a bit to repetitive and the return to the hub is a bit frustrating but I quite like the idea of returning "home" to get stronger before the next battle. Just wish it impacted more the gameplay in order for you to really get past fast the first ez round and really get the feeling of "I am stronger now" (like you improve your horse man and now he can do a super attack or something like that not just stat upgrades).
Congrats for the game :)
Wow! This is a full 5 out of 5 for every criteria.
Super creative and super fun that fit perfectly the gamejam theme! The new objects are coming quick so you never have the time to get bored. Also the satisfaction, to just shoot the fly is perfect, and the fact that sometimes you loose her is super accurate. And the interractivity with the object is perfect. (also the audio is perfect, well done on that)
My only complain is that I couldn't change the mouse sensitivity and as a fps player it was way too hight for me.
Really well done, I had a ton of fun!
Thanks for playing that much!! I'm glad you liked the sound effect and artwork I've rushed a bit the end but did everything myself :D. Yeah I need to found a way to do easier to read description with also a better font.
I will investigate the end of turn, thanks for reporting it to me, it might be cause it was your last card in hand?
<3
Sure! I think only with this gameloop the game can feel a bit repetitive and to intense, and may be a bit limited. Take BallxPit for example, there is the main gameplay then there is another loop in order to relax between game were you re-build your town, and it also give a purpose to why you play. So I think your game can be a really good game with something like that, something that give a purpose, like you reconstruct your planet but need to protect it, and what you have construct give you new upgrades.
This comment only apply with you plan to expand on it to make a full game out of it. If not this a really good jam game like this ;).
Really cool game! I had a ton of fun testing the upgrades. The start was hard, understanding wow to use what when but then really fun.
Starting with all 4 upgrades made me choose the passive upgrades more often because the other "upgrade" were just replacing at I already got from the start.
Congrats for this game :) I think it can be a really great game with a second gameloop to relax a bit more between fight.
Really good use of the theme well done! :)
Good music, and I also really like the icon of the powerups. The difficulty is well balanced, I just wished that the power up were more impactfull on the gameplay or customized to the unique mechanic you've got there.
PS: I think I broke the audio by pausing too long.
Thanks for the comment! It seems that you got a good run fast, congrats! I agree the gameloop might be a bit simple for now but it's the first version, and I believe a more in depth meta is possible.
If you choose different politics (x2 gold vs Democracy vs Oligarchy) it can be more challenging to win :)
Edit: Forgot to add that nice idea for the inversion card I will for sure add it :) ! And noted for the font, I will also make it better. Thanks!
