AMAZING GAME! This is super polished! It's also quite challenging.

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! We had a lot of fun making it! If we had more time I think some easier levels to transition the difficulty would have been helpful lol

Wow, really impressed by how much there is going on there. I liked all the little mini games to activate the different elements, and all the art was very cohesive. Really cool entry!

Developer

Hey thanks so much! I had a lot of fun with the art on this and @MrRan did a great job on the mini games and smoothness of the game.

Great looking game and really cool design though it is quite challenging.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out! It definitely ramps up pretty fast. Some easier levels between tutorial and the main level would probably help bridge that a bit.

Very cool game! I liked the level map and the potion crafting. Adding waves of enemies gives the game some tension and a sense of urgency.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We liked the tension of overcooked but wanted to give some more external pressure to it.

Nice job, It's clear a lot of work has gone into this game. Artwork is lovely and i really liked the active reload style mini game.

Solid stuff!

Developer(+1)

Hey thank you so much! We had a lot of fun making this. We had some more ideas to implement different “mini games” like the active reload one but ran out of time lol

This game is really  fun! I love the art style, reminds me of a couple of my favorite indie games. I think I ran into a small bug in the introduction, where the cannon didn't spawn and I really spent some time looking for it. I just jumped to the first level though and it worked very smoothly! Since this is one of the better games I've seen on here, I'm going to nit pick. I just learned this jam about how easy it is to make custom textures for ProgressBars. With such nice art you have, it would have been great for those to be textured! You can even do a little jar filling on the table or something.
Overall, great fun game!

Developer

Thank you so much! What games did the art remind you of? I definitely have a few indie games that inspire my art.

The cannon doesn’t actually spawn until you have a potion brewed. It really introduces everything step by step. Did you finish the brew on the cauldron and get a potion?

I really appreciate the feedback! We actually completely spaced on the progress bars in the midst of everything else haha I didn’t realize we forget them until it was too late. I’ll look more into that though! That would be really cool to have more custom tailored bars!

Yeah I think I might have clicked through the menu too fast or something and it never showed up. Brewed a bunch of potions. But it was just in the tutorial level and I went back and tried again and it showed up fine!

The games that come to mind are from Klei, Don’t starve and Oxygen not Included. Great games!

Awesome stuff. Way to lead by example with the smooth, piece by piece on-boarding you mentioned. I had a fun time trying to juggle the fire and various brewing stations. Art was great too!

Developer

Thank you! The tutorial was all @MrRan! He did awesome with introducing everything.

This game is really great and I really loved the art style!

Developer

Thank you! Yea, @seebeasts did such an amazing job on the art

great game, was hard but I had fun trying

Developer

thank you! lol yea, the difficulty may need some tweaking, the controls being more intuitive would help too haha

Had a lot of fun playing this game! Cool concept and easy to get the hang of.

Developer

glad you had fun :)

Really nice art/graphics.

Game lacks  polishing. Controls very unintuitive - Example: Why M1 for picking plants but M2 for potions? If you giving the player a hint that M2 for picking up the objects - all objects should be pickable on M2. I would like to see working settings, to make sounds/music louder or to enable full screen.

Game can be developed further would like to see polished version and more content!

Developer

Thanks a ton! @seebeasts is an art wizard!
As for the controls, I totally agree. If I could make one change now, it would be to have M2 always add to hands and M1 always remove from hands. The reason behind the jank is that I have two systems for interaction: first is pick up item entities from the ground (M2), second is interact with station (M1). Farm and stockpile are stations (M1) that used to drop item entities on the ground (M2), but my friends who playtested right before I needed to submit said that it was annoying to have to M1 to spawn item, then M2 to pick it up. So I changed it to spawn item directly in hand as my last change before submission and totally didn't consider the feeling of inconsistency. Also, definitely agree that there needs to be settings lol, I planned on adding them, but ran out of time (as these things go with jam haha)

Thanks again for playing and the insightful feedback! <3

really  fun but it also kinda tricky but i like the gameplay and the art is really good nice work :)

Developer

Hey! Thanks for playing! Yeah I think the clicking controls could definitely be rethought.  Maybe just a single input in the future could work?

Submitted

yeah that would be good or maybe if when the player hovers there mouse curser over an object then they could just drag it to the spot it needs to go

Had a lot of fun with this! I dig the art style and gameplay loop. Felt frantic trying to keep everything pipelined as the monsters progressed.  I kept messing up the timing minigame when things got intense. The controls were my only point of confusion, wasn't clear to when I should left click/right click, maybe a fail sfx if you try to interact with a machine without the proper ingredient would help. Or only showing one click prompt at a time. Figured it out eventually tho

Developer

Thanks for playing! I constantly mess up the timing or shoot the wrong potions when it's getting tense!
