Very cute and fun game. Great job with the sprites, and I had a lot of fun chasing down all the notes.
Hey thank you. Glad u liked the game! :)
Great music, great art, and very very solid level design. I was worried I'd get lost or accidentally backtrack but the layout was very well done while also not being overly linear. The footstep audio did keep playing while I wasn't walking, and I would have appreciated a way to view the hints without having to talk all the way back, but overall this game very much accomplished what it set out to do in terms of retro walking puzzler.
Thank you baguumba, tbh this game version was decided 3~4 days before the deadline haha, luckly I had all sprites done already and it took me around 5~6hrs to design the level, really cool to see that you get my intentions. At the end everything connected pretty well. Glad u liked the game :)
Nice job! I loved how you created so many unique environments with such a limited number of tiles and colors. The scavenger hunt was fun and following the riddles felt intuitive. The music was super chill and the sound when the text reads out was satisfying too. Great job, I had fun completing it!
Hey, ty very much for ur feedback, we changed the game direction a couple of times in the middle of the jam, and It was a real rush to get this final version done. And indeed, our composer did an amazing job, and its the first time he made an original song in 8-bit. Glad u enjoyed :)
Visuals are amazing, movement is as it should be, overall just a neat little game. You can really tell that you guys put love into this.
Hey, ty very much, it really took me a while to get all sprites as I wanted :). Hope u had fun playing it.
Amazing visuals! Nice job.
Thanks a lot, Dwagen!
Really appreciate it, our artist did an amazing job on the visuals.
Good luck!
Not a bad little game! I liked walking around and looking at the art. Wasn't really invested in the story but the controls art and sounds were all nice.
Hey, themadrabbitdevs, glad you enjoyed the game!
It was actually my first project as a dev with Godot, so I’m really happy to hear that. And yeah, our artists absolutely cooked, they carried hard on the visuals and sounds.
Appreciate the feedback!
Sweet cozy game about finding all pages. I liked that you often could see a page, but couldn't reach it in this moment, but you knew wich direction to go.
Happy you liked it, nCounter!
Glad the page-hunting and exploration felt satisfying. Our level designer cooked! ⚗️
Thanks for playing!
Great artwork! Reminded me of Earthbound/Pokemon/Link to the Past. The notes scavenger hunt was fun, while exploring the different maps. Throw in some enemies and you've got a nice game loop. Great job!
We're glad you liked it, darkfenix!
Some enemies could definitely add some spice to the witch's hunt.
Thanks for the review!
Very nice art style, love the retro incorporation as well!
Yee! Our artists were really inspired by the Retro Wildcard.
Thank you for playing our game and leaving a review, Goshaman!
Great game! It wouldve been nice to get some award for beating the game though :/
Totally agree, TurtleMaster72!
It was the first time I used Godot to make a game and we ran out of time by the end.
Thank you for playing our game!
Really liked the design of the game and how each section had a nice theme.
We planned to create a distinct emotion for each scenario.
We couldn’t fully implement all of them, but the map turned out really well crafted.
Thank you for the review, BIGGAMONSTER!
Cute little exploration game. I like the pixel art
I’m glad you enjoyed the game and the art, Galvanator!
We put a bit of passion and nostalgia into the brew.
