Man that was beautiful x) I struggled a bit with the navigation (skill issue I guess lol) but I still managed to finish it. Great job!

Very creative way to tell a story around the theme!
The power of the sea...
It took a bit to get used to the reversed rudder controls
SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!
ICARUS!!!!!!
ICARUS!!?!!?!!!?!!!?!!!?
THE LAST MESSAGE?!?!?!?!??
ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW????????
HOW DID Y'ALL MAKE THIS IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS?
I truly adored this experience. I would LOVE to see this turned into a bigger project. This is superb atmospherically.
I had a hard time navigating a bit but I suppose that is part of the point. I don't know if I was missing much story but I didn't get to the second clearing to send another message purely because navigating was difficult and I just gave up.
It's an interesting take on the theme and it's weirdly calming considering the narrative.
I do think the last line at the end was a bit on the nose as I feel it was pretty clear what you were trying to convey.
Otherwise the atmosphere is well done, I enjoyed it
Phenomenal atmosphere you've achieved here, the water looks great, the soundscape is amazing, and everything looks/sounds just right for what you were trying to accomplish.
I liked the idea of more-realistic sailboat controls in theory, but I agree with others saying they had a lot of issues with them in practice. The main thing that I found frustrating was that there was something weird with the character being positioned to one side or the other of the sail and the camera would often getting stuck behind the, mainsheet, I guess it is? Whatever the line is called that controls the angle of the sail. It often felt like I was fighting the camera moreso than the sailboat or the wind. When that happened I couldn't see the radio or much of anything unfortunately.
In any case the story hook and atmosphere grabbed me so much that I persisted and eventually got a little bit of a hang of it and was able to get to the ending, but it always did feel a bit janky trying to get the ship moving and pointed in the right direction.
Basically loved everything but the controls/camera issues and I thought it was a memorable and poignant and scary game despite my struggles. So great work on all of those things!
I'm not sure if there is something I don't get with movement but basically I have to position with W D the speed and A D the direction witch seems cool when I start but after the first checkpoint for some reason my boat always stops and I can't do anything to make it move again. I tried it like 5-6 times and this always happens to me. The story seems cool and sounds are atmospheric and nice, but if there is something I'm missing I'd be glad to return to finish the story.
Beautiful game art and sound wise. I think there is probably a great narrative here too, but the only issue for me was that I find the controls difficult. Perhaps I don't understand the mechanics of a boat that well. I made it to the first light and I knew the game was something special. I tried a few more times but could not progress. Atmosphere was exceptional.
Man, I knew this was gonna be hard once I realised the kid is there, still waiting for the parent to come home.
I really enjoyed the game, there isn't much to say.
my only gripe is the theme is kinda of a stretch, rest was awesome.
Devbxnny here, This game is something somewhere between liminal and comfort game. I personally have sat here and just traversed the ocean and just enjoyed the simplicity of the art style but also the atmosphere. As someone with thalassophobia, I tend to steer away from ocean games like subnautica or soma, but there is something oddly okay with this game. I am still traversing so I have not complete it but I already do enjoy this. I'd like to see what else you could do with it :D
