Really great concept! I loved it. It's a bit sad that you can only listen to the music for such a short amount of time because I would've really liked to listen to the different tracks. Awesome entry for the game jam and you know me, if there are mice, its nice!!!

Developer

Thanks :)
Once you win, you can play the vinyls freely.

This game has a really cool concept and an excellent use of both the theme and the prerequisite. The visuals are good - I’d even say very good. My main issue was readability. Because of the perspective and the placement of the turntable, it was sometimes hard to predict where the mice would end up. You can walk closer to check how much space is left, but after getting killed by a mousetrap once, I stopped taking that risk :) The controls also felt a bit uncomfortable for this type of puzzle game. Overall, a creative and well-made entry.

Developer

Thanks. I'm glad you liked the visuals. Actually, that's where most of the time went, since I didn't come up with the final gameplay idea until quite late in the jam.
P.S.: Did you step on a mouse? ;) The traps aren't supposed to be triggered by the player, but you have to be careful around the mice.

Love the music and artwork (A bit too contemporary for me tho). But really used the theme in an interesting way. Would love to play a elongated version with some finer controls and artwork.

Developer

Thank you :)

really love the artworks and the premise sounded really fun.
playing it is a piece of work however, as you basically made simple asdw controls but worse - without a real pay off?
playing music for a split second feels strange, you know? or did I miss something?

hehehe... just saw the name now... well, you know me to be blunt..

:D As always, no hard feelings. I always appreciate the honest feedback.

Thanks, I'm glad you like the artwork. I have to say, I'm really happy with it too. But yeah, the original idea was completely different, though a bit too ambitious in terms of time. :D But that's part of the fun.
Looking back now, I wish I’d had music playing throughout and maybe just varied the instruments depending on the vinyl. Do you know that you can listen to the entire tracks after you win?

took a few tries to figure out what was going on but once i did i loved it!! very creative idea, i really enjoyed it :)) also it was indeed a nice bonus getting to actually listen to the music after reaching the cheese lol

Developer

Thank you very much. Since you usually only hear the first note during gameplay, I thought it would be good to have that option. Especially since I spent more time on the music than on the actual programming. :D
