The visuals are really good! I was a bit lost onwhat exactly to do and what the feedback meant (I had no idea why my screen suddenly had bullet holes, I thought I blocked all bullets) a bit more context or a longer tutorial / explanation would maybe have been nice for this :)

Bullet time in a bullet hell ! I really loved the game feel as well as the vfx. Sadly, i had some issues on the web version because a key combinaison keep reloading the page. Despite that, it's a fun concept, i'll gladly keep playing if you make a downloadable version ! :D

Great use of Unity, it looks and feels very nice, the fighting feels fluid and responsive.

Woah this is crazy good!! Love the visuals and gameplay, really intuitive tutorial. I was a little bit confused on the movement when blocking but maybe thats just me. Overall, im blown away by this game, very well done! :)

Nice work! I felt like a Jedi.

It would be fun playing this with a controller. I also really liked the character/enemy designs and the bullet holes effect.

I liked the concept and the visuals. Those bullet holes are pretty cool. The game is entertaining, but the blocking mechanics are a bit too good on their own. I didn’t feel the need to dodge or swing the sword.

Wow, what a super juicy game! Had a blast playing this. Loved the visuals and the UI design as well. Great work on the blocking/deflecting bullets mechanics! It was amazingly well done!

Masterfully done, not much critique to give.

It just needs slightly more polish on the bullet visuals and hitboxes to get that perfect satisfying feel. Sometimes it felt like I should've either gotten hit or the bullet should've been parried but neither seemed to happen?

Also don't think the character should slow down while attacking but rather keep his momentum.

None of these really impact my score or enjoyment of the game.

The random bullets flying into the camera accentuating the invincibility of the character by making the camera more prone to damage was a great touch.

Great job!

P.S. I'm another data point in Firefox opening a menu on Shift + LMB

Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you liked the project. Regarding the hitbox, I'm improving the defense system. Since my goal was to make his defense invincible, I really made the game "too easy." I want to add a cone-shaped hitbox to be the character's line of sight and a dexterity system: the higher the dexterity, the larger the cone. This will be in post-jam updates. I liked the slow effect when eliminating a melee enemy and really included it so the player can see the enemy being cut in half, haha, I thought it was brutal. Thanks again for the feedback.

I love the atmosphere and art style of the game :D The game is also very polished for a game jam. I really enjoyed playing it. Nice job !

Thank you so much, my friend!

A cyberpunk rhonin with roguelike-progression (based on the screenshots), easy way to activate my neurons ~

The music for this game is great, did you make the tracks yourself or took it from somewhere else? Also, the bullets having a chance of ricocheting to damage the screen is a lovely delectable touch! And this game having a baked-in tutorial is always a plus

Overall, excellent game! Well done

Thank you very much. I did most of the sound effects; the others I downloaded and remixed to get the way I wanted. I worked on the music in collaboration with my cousin; he's a DJ and also makes music. If you want to check out his work: https://soundcloud.com/thcmusicc/sets/occult-frequencies?ref=clipboard&p=a&c=1&s...

Since he didn't have time to finish 4 separate tracks, 2 were downloaded, and he did the rest.

Thanks for the link! Please pass him my regards for his excellent music ~

It's so beautiful! This is really PEAK I don't understand how you could make such good graphics also bribes the look of the page (but the cover put me off for 2 days)

Developer

As a graphic designer, I made quite a few mistakes with the cover; I could have done something more eye-catching, but I'm working on a better idea. Thanks for the feedback.

I love the art and gameplay of this game, it made it very fun to play, and I like how you did the audio. The art is especially phenomenal, 5 stars in that.

I really like the aesthetic of this game, the rain pouring down gave it a very cool feeling. i had the most fun when i was sprinting around zig zagging through bullets. i think the feeling was nailed.

critiques:

- the combo multiplier SFX was pretty jarring and took me a second to realize what i was doing that was triggering it.

Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the feedback. haha I'm kind of already tired of the multiplier noise, it's the first change I'm going to make after the jam.

Really fun and intense! I liked the interactive tutorial, it made the game much clearer. The leaderboards also added a nice competitive feel, and I found myself playing just to get a higher score. Great game overall!
