Well done! Graphics and audio are very polished!
Thanks FlyinnPenguin for playing!
The visuals and audio are exceptionally well polished! I would have maybe mapped T to space instead so you can play comfortably without needing both hands (helps with accessibility) but the gameplay was still very fun!
Hey Null Builds, thanks for playing. I was planning on letting the user bind the keys, but never got to that. Using space would definitely have been better than T.
I love the graphics style, the main menu is so pretty. The gameplay is fun and difficulty well placed. A refreshing interpretation on the theme as well. Great job!
Thanks for the kind words schme. I love using vector art for games :)
Very cool idea great game. Nice job!
Thank you Dwagen!
Simple idea, great execution. Graphics and sfx were wonderful, and the gameplay was just rich enough. Very nice job implementing.
Thanks for playing frequency.data!
Played the first level, then jumped to level 6 and kept playing until I got three stars :)
Super well executed game that would likely have a lot more traction if it were a web game instead of a download. All the different grab animations were really well done, and everything present was very polished and your design choices feel super intentional and clear. I do feel like the game is lacking an additional complication or mechanic beyond just more levels, like different teas having different display colors/progress directions/brew meters, but that's also just me reaching to make a critique. Good job!
Thanks for playing baguumba, I really wanted to practice my C# skills and regret picking it in godot 4x since that does not have a web build and I figured that out too late.
I know the game is a bit too simple, tried to make up for it by adding more teas on the table. I did have in mind some variety for the teas making them affect each other etc. But never got to that due to a new baby in family 😊.
This is a very well made game. It's simple yet challenging to get the timings right.
Thanks for playing Azzy Steel!
Great little click-timing game! I had fun. My thoughts on the project:
Bad:
The sounds you used were a little too harsh if that makes sense. For a game about drinking tea I'd expect nice soft, soothing sounds but it was all really harsh and loud gulps, glasses slamming on the counter, etc. The music also was too loud to start. I had to take my headphones off while I got to the sound settings.
Good:
The visuals were very nice and clean, loved it.
The gameplay was fun, I jumped to the hardest level and got 3 stars and it was fun having to focus on all of the glasses and react quickly.
The menu's, UI, etc. were all done very nice.
The controls were simple and reactive which let me focus on having fun
Overall great job! The sounds were the only real negative for me, but even then they did fit the game so it wasn't a big deal at all.
Yeah I understand the sounds may not be everyone's favorite. I had so many laughs with my cousin about those slurp sounds I just decided to leave them in as a gag, but maybe it should have been a rare occurence and not for every tea 😅. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Hey, very nice game. I expected nothing from first time participation, no web build & solo developer, but it looks so insanely polished and well thought. I really like that it is challenging and has little mercy to slow fingers.
Appreciate the music and visuals, they are super good as well!
Thanks for the kind words, I tried to challenge myself to make all the sounds myself, and some of the sounds turned out quite nice. Maybe the slurps were a bit too much. I really like to make small games, just never finished one so this one exceeded my expectations as a whole.
Hi well polished game, I liked the graphics and sound effects, cool steam effect also.
Would have loved to have a more engaging type of music.
Gameplay with 3 tea`s can already be cool. Feels like a complete tiny game.
What did stop you from providing a web version?
Just saw that you are only one person, so very well done!
Hello Olli, thanks for the kind words. I would have loved to make some engaging music, I just grabbed something from what I had made before and left it at that. I could not make a web version because I noticed too late that you cant make a web build with godot4 + C#, web would have definitely been my choice of build.
Ah ok I understand, it is because of C#. Didn`t think about that.
This was a fun one. Very high appeal on the graphics and vibes. This was an interesting take on the "hit the mark" style of minigame. Managing multiple teas is hard, but I liked the design language you used to guide the player toward understanding how to time teas. In a way, it's similar to a rhythm game. Well done!
Thanks for the kind words, once I created the "hit the mark" system I kind of wanted to have that rhythm game feel with perfect thresholds and combos, etc.
I enjoyed seeing the different arms! Somehow level 6, I got my best score in even when I went back and redid level 3. The slurps were a little intense for me but everything else was fan-tea-stic! Fun game, I'm happy to have downloaded it!
Yeah it was kind of a gag to add the slurps in, I thought about making a setting for those, but left them in for laughs. Thanks for playing!
Loved this! Everything feels super clean and satisfying. All the different hands grabbing the tea was fun. Have to say there's some irony in making a stressful timing game about tea! But I did find some meditative flow about the gameplay.
Thanks Jack, i had alot of fun making this one!
