Wow!! Very impressed with this Zelda clone entry. From the pixel art to the music to the massive (for a 9 day jam) world map, I found myself compelled to save my lover by collecting the 4 items (I died at the snakes...) Combat could've been more polished, but understandable given the other things you focused on to produce this amazing game.

Really great job with the art and the overall gameplay. The controls were a little clunky, but I'm really blown away at how much you were able to get it. It  looks really really great.

really nice zelda-like i love the art style and overall the game is very fun but the ai is really dumb and the player feels really week so i ended up just running a quickly pas the enemies but over all this is really well doen nice work :)

Thanks for playing :) It was a tough balance between challenging and fair difficulty in a jam game for sure

Such a good entry. I was really impressed by the whole experience from the gameplay to the graphics down to the audio. Amazing work for such a short period of time - it felt really polished.

My one feedback (and it might of been a design choice) would be to have a slight knockback when attacking enemies.

Thanks for playing :)

With another day we could have probably focused on honing in the combat, but there was so much to do haha

  • Really well done on the retro aesthetic
  • Combat feels a little lacking. Sword hitboxes don't feel entirely accurate, and some knockback could help.
  • Weird control nitpick: if you're pressing up/down and the press left/right (while still holding up/down), you start moving left or right. If you're pressing left/right and press up/down, you keep going left/right.
  • Impressive world size, and asset variety
  • I appreciate the softlock protection on the left side Sokoban section
  • Hearts seem exceptionally hard to come by (is there any way of regaining health?). I find myself avoiding combat entirely where I can. (update: I see, on putting an ingredient in your health is replenished)
  • I won!

Hey,

Thanks for the extended review! All push boxes should have the softlock protection, but i'm glad it was noticed haha. And yes, the only way to regain lost health is by delivering an ingredient.

Thanks for your feedback
