Lovely presentation! Cute character! I especially like the shooting segment, it was well done and unique. Fantastic music too maybe the best I've heard so far this jam!

I will say the camera had some sort of jitter going diagonally that was hard to stomach, not sure what would cause that...

The fuel was also a bit of a struggle, I think some indicators as you're gathering items as to what they are for would go a long way since it was hard to tell what I should be focusing on harvesting.

Great job overall!

Thank you, this helps a lot! I'll make sure to address these issue when I dive back into this game's development

Very cool art style and design. I had a blast running around the map and the tunes were a total bop.

Developer

Thank you! And the music is all thanks to my talented friends!

Awesome work on the retro wildcard!! I loved the pixel art, NES-style movement, chip-tune music and sfx. The brewing mini-game was fun (although I wasn't able to make any potions because I kept running out of fuel lol). This is a nice prototype for a larger game if you decide to keep working on it. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you, and yes, I do plan on expanding it a little more after this jam. It was a blast working on this!

This was very nice! I wish the bushes were a little closer together. But the game really fit the theme and was fun to play! Good job.

Developer

Thanks so much for giving it a try!

I really like the aesthetic of the game! The transitions really add that extra retro feel.

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! Had the transition idea early on, so I wanted that to be really satisfying. Glad you enjoyed it!

Making the potions is really satisfying and it's awesome you were able to work in two different gameplay styles in one jam entry! The stepped transitions are a great touch, it really feels like something I'd play on an NES or game boy color. A few more trees near the pot might make the early game a bit faster but that's a very minor nitpick, great work!

Thanks so much! I LOVE combining genres in my games to challenge myself, but I'm always afraid it wouldn't balance out right. But I'm glad you enjoyed it!
