Very unique take on an ingredient collecting and brewing game! Being able to make your own potion using the stats from the ingredients was a cool idea compared to a lot of games that have preset recipes. Good job!
Fun game, i like idea of the potion brewing, and the amount you can make it kinda cool. The different mechanics are fun to mess around with (the shopping and brewing) and the ability to rename things is cool. I had performance issues after spawning too many items and some things(like how to rotate the glitter jar and how to make potions) were not very clear at the start.
Nice game. I think I would've been lost without your notes on the page. It would've been more art to make, but having posters on the wall of actions would be cool. Kinda like how you had on the table where to sell potions. My game froze twice in the listings screen, so you might want to look into that, too. Otherwise, it was a fun and well-thought-out game. Great Job!
Thank you for the feedback! Currently there is an edge-case with a certain combination of actions on the computer that causes it to be unable to quit.
Really cool game, it's insane you did this alone! I love the pour mechanic.
I'm glad you liked it! Thank you for the comment :)
I had a lot of fun. Love how you can rename the potions :D
I am happy you liked it!
The potion generation is really cool and makes me think of some of the cooking simulator games; although, I don't think many of them auto-generate titles and effects like this. Very cool to see! Like someone else said, I didn't understand how to add ingredients at first. I thought I just needed to drop them in and when that didn't work I tried right-clicking. I did realize that I needed to right-click and hold eventually but you might want to add that to your game's page in case it trips anyone else up.
Very cool concept and I could see this being played quite a bit if you wanted to develop it more with home upgrades, decorative items, etc. Great work!
I appreciate the kind words! Thanks for the feedback as well, it is most useful! :)
Great concept! I wish there was a bit more onboarding but I enjoyed ordering my ingredients and making my own little potions and naming them! I also love that it's both 3D AND runs smoothly which you don't often see. It had a nice mood that I enjoyed. I think the core mechanic would be awesome if the game was expanded upon. It would be awesome to know what each ingredient did so you could get a feel for how much of what ingredient to put into a potion to get an intended result. Great job!
Thank you! Quick note is that at the bottom of the note when looking at an ingredient tells you how it affects the potion but very valid critique!
this was the best game in the whole jam ig your the winner after all good luck
Thank you :D
The art style is super cute and the idea of getting the ingredients delivered is hilarious. I did find it a little difficult to properly stir the cauldron and know when the potion was actually finished, but other than that I loved it!
Thank you for the kind words! I added a little line in the description, thanks for the tip :)
Respect with all the possibilities there are to do potions. Very cute artstyle. Good job :)
Thank you!
great job, I did notice that the music would stop playing and never come back, but out of curiosity, how did you make 7 million potions in 6 days?
Thank you, must have forgotten to enable looping.
In short, each potion has multiple visual variables. Each variable has a few different variants. A lot of multiplication happens and we get a huge number.
i actually laughed out loud when i saw the online shopping system to have ingredients delivered to the door. 10/10 idea
I appreciate it! :)
Great job on the overall execution. Game played very tight and intuitive, and all the bits and bobs worked great. Would love to see maybe some mini objectives or customer demand or something to create new stuff, but overall thought it was a really great entry.
Thank you!
Really cool take on brewing, it was fun to dabble around and make potions. My only main issue was it was difficult to tell when the brew was finished at times.
Thank you thank you, I do wish I had managed to implement the player guides in the way I wanted.
honestly I am very surprised at how ambitious this is for a game jam. You not only made a whole system that can result in endless potion possibilities, but the Boogle browser, the cauldron, the ingredient delivery system etc etc... as someone that also spent a lot of time this week on this jam, I salute you because I know this took a lot of effort :)
the game itself is so good that even though it took me 10 minutes to make a single potion I had fun! And that is my only feedback, it would be great to guide the player on how to make the potion more clearly. Could be just me, but I found things a bit difficult (e.g. didn't know to pour you had to kind of rotate, I just read "right click" and was surprised it never worked, or another example is the stirring inside the cauldron, sometimes a stat popped up but I wasnt sure if the ingredient was there, or how many I already put in there, etc).
overall this was a super solid entry, honestly I could see this being expanded into its own potion-making sim, or even as a slice of a larger game that has this cool mechanic built in. Very well done!
Thank you, it means a lot! There were plans but of course everything does not always go to plan. I do appreciate recognizing the effort, I liked your game a lot as well!
