Cute, simple and satisfying, great idea! The bouncing was really fun, just took a while to plant enough plants to make the bounce really long.

One thing I was a little confused on, what does it mean when the flowers lose their green leaves? I thought it showed their "healthbar" and that they would disappear after they lost all leaves, but they stayed and regrrew (?) them

Oh and I also want to add that its a great use of the Loop-theme!! One of the best uses Ive seen in this Gamejam so far!

Developer

oh thanks. The leaves show how many times you can bounce on that specific plant. They do not regrow, the plant will fade away after all the leaves are gone.

I had fun with this game :D It reminded me of those sorta flash games I'd play on either like Warner bros or addicting games X3

Love the concept, was soo much fun for just a bouncy lil guy. No audio and could use some polish but that gameplay is addictingg

As others have said, the audio cut off after a while. BUT WHO CARES???? I zoned out and maxed out every stat before I even noticed. Great stuff ♥

How many flowers do you want? YES.

It's fun. It also scales extremely with a little bit of cheesy fast clicking to spam flowers everywhere. I love the idea, and the mechanics work well too. It reminds me a bit of the uh, penguin flying game, but with the nice touch of looping around a planet. Really well done!

Developer

oh my geez, that is a lot of plants haha. That is amazing.

This game had no business being this fun lol. I played it for way longer than I meant to and ended up maxing everything out. Super addicting. Watching the numbers go up while upgrading mid-bounce chains felt great. Once I realized the bee grows a flower where it touches down, I spent a whole rotation doing little hops just to blanket the planet in flowers. Then, when I looped back around, it was pure bounce mania from there lol. Probably one of my favorite takes on the seamless loop limitation so far. Really good job on this.

Fun stuff! Btw, just like astralstew the audio cuts off for me (Firefox). In Godot when you have an mp3 file (which I suspect you are using!) you should double-click it in the file explorer and enable looping at the file level, not just the audio player.

Also idk if this breaks the game but I think the amount of pollen you get should be determined by the height you hit the flower from right? Because at the start you're incentivised to take baby steps to reach the flowers--shooting at full force is more of a "gamble" to hit a flower... or did I misunderstand a game play mechanic? >_>. If that choice is intentional ignore what i said lol

Really good all-rounder

Great stuff, nailed the theme + such a satisfying loop + perfect length!

Small hiccups: Was a little confused at first, took me an embarrassingly long time to realise you could zoom out (lol). The audio seems to cut out after about 10 seconds - could be my setup (Zorin OS, Firefox) but haven't had any audio issues on other submissions.

I absolutely love the concept behind this game. It just makes so much sense that bouncing on flowers gives you pollen, and bouncing off the ground grows new flowers. It fits the "seamless loop" idea as well.

The art is charming, and I appreciate the little details, like the sunflower's leaves showing how much "health" they have left.
