The art is great!  Where did you find the time to make all those assets??  I really liked the CRT effect and palette you used.

I think you've got a good thing going here and you've got one of the best entries in the jam so I wanted to give some extra feedback.  This is info intended to help, not criticize.  I actually had a hard time playing your game in the current state.  I guess I am a lazy gamer and tend not to read all the instructions.   Even with your game, which looks very intriguing and fun to play, this was true.   So, each time a scene started, I was kind of lost at what to do.  For example, the visual feedback was not clear during the sorting scene, I saw a thumb up and down, but I didn't know if I should click it or not click it - if it stays on the conveyor belt, is that good? do I want to remove the good or bad ones from the conveyor belt?  It was similar during the next scene.  I didn't know where to look to get the info to do what I needed to do.

So, with that said, you don't need to adjust your game for players like me, but if you want us to play and keep playing, I recommend digging into intuitive game flow.  Less instruction, more guidance.  I hope that makes sense.

Good luck with this project and looking forward to seeing future projects too!

Thank you very much for the feedback. This is actually true, but I confess it took me a while to start making the game because I spent a few more days thinking about the idea. When I finally came up with it, I focused on the art and ended up leaving the tutorials for the last few minutes 😅 I'll start focusing on those points; your feedback was very helpful.

fantastic atmosphere, music and art. 5/5 there, only the sound effects i didnt like much.
Game got me hooked with the perfectly mirrored fallout vibe or cheerful 50is music and UI

Thank you so much ✨

Great polish - well done! The gameplay itself is a bit rough for me - the movement is restricted on the vertical axis which is limiting but OK. For me the problem is that it is hard to coordinate. The size and positions seem to be a certain way but often as I aim for the scrap the vehicle skips it because it was not above it... It can get frustrating.

UPDATE - well after many attempts I cleared the first level and found out I can make upgrades including to the pickup range. I like this progression. It does seem like there is much though put into the game and there are small hints everywhere as well as different ways to hint (for example on the conveyor belt hovering over a piece of scrap shows on the monitor both "for sale"/"for disposal" as well as a thumbs up/down.

Good luck!

I wished there would be another music during gameplay..nothing "radio-sounding" to enhance the difference between UI and actual gameplay.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, it's a good option.

Acho que é o melhor estilo artístico de toda a jam! Eu adorei o jogo!

Thank you so much ☺️

I love this style. Honestly could become a really interesting intro to a horror game lol. For now, it's a very polished and complete demo!

Developer

That's not a bad idea, haha. Thanks

Really enjoyed the Fallout vibes with the music. The art was very clean and the animations were great. I got hard locked on the conveyor needing 10 bolts to repair but only had 9 left, game essentially locked me out.
A game worth further development and I hope it continues to improve. Well done.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, I will improve many things on it still.
