very cool - was confused why nothing happened on objectives until I read your comment.  it's an interesting loop and plays very smooth. the camera was a bit jerky, but that sounds like a very easy fix

Hi! Going to play your game on a stream now:

Developer

Thank you for the review; it helped me understand how a player might perceive my game when trying it for the first time. Thank you and good luck.

This is a fun little stealth game! Also love the pixel art and sound design. The camera was a bit jerky - I see the intention to allow the player to see ahead of them and I think that's important for this sort of game, but maybe a slower movement to get ahead of the player would help. Also, the view cones of the enemies could go through walls and boxes which caught me by surprise a couple times! Overall, it's a great game for being built in two weeks!

Developer

Thanks for the review

i really like your handdrawn visuals. I love pixel art and seeing all the unique styles out there. I noticed you used godot but im not sure how you set up your camera. Just seems a bit too shaky.

Developer

thanks

Looking good but too many camera shakes.

I love the game play and music. Great work

The stealth gameplay is tense and fun. A small suggestion: the camera could be a bit smoother.

Nice. Coulda done with more story elements, but the gameplay was pretty on point for what it is. The only thing is that it was kinda hard to discern that the one guard had the key you need to steal to beat the last level. I liked the graphics. The explosion looked cool even though it was just a still image lol.

Cute stealth game - like others said - I think it could have used just a regular camera (the view size is very big and there's no real need to show more from the front), and also explain that you need to collect all the red dots and go to the exit (you don't even have to exlain in, just a simple thing on the UI that says red dot collected 0/3 or something similar)

The hacking seem to just stop the robots for a few seconds? It wasn't super tough to avoid enemies, which is good on my end, but maybe something to develop further

Appriciated the hand made graphics, well done!

Developer

Thanks

Hey there, neet idea. I think the camera could have done with some work, also telling people what to do in the game could have gone a long way. I'm guessing you're supposed to go off and find the secret, then return to where you started (basically) and escape. To avoid confusion you could have just made it a straight shot from the furthest point in your game, discover the secrets on the way, to return back to point. Congrats on finishing.

Thank you for the review, I will improve it in the future.

I really like the player design! (ツ)ノ

But the camera made me a bit motion sick though…

I reach the end and press continue but nothing happens unfortunately.

Developer

Sorry, it seems I didn't make it clear. After every mission, you must find a way out.
