Liked the idea but while we drink water and eat stuff the other one decreasing so I couldnt survive the very first day :) and maybe day time can be longer. You can consider add some objective symbol/icon to the map. I think these changes will make the game more Fluent
I cant manage to win the game sadly, but its good overall btw
I managed to reach the ending in a few tries, but like others said, it really lack gameplay currently and the difficulty is highly depends on the drain rate of the hunger and thirst bar. There is also a hidden property here which the time needed to eat and drink. I do hope I have a way to drop the key.
The graphics are nicely done and animations are cute! I love mousey.
I love the artstyle and presentation! But I find the game to be very lacking in terms of gameplay, and the fact you'll most likely die over and over at the start of the game is a bit frustrating, which is a shame to me because everything else is so well made! It was still a nice experience though
I made it to the second day, but not quite to the ending.
I really love the visual style of the game and the atmosphere of the music. It evokes a real nice balance of uneasiness and the coziness of the autumn setting. Your color choices were very nice and I think this is one of the most pleasing games to look at in the jam so far.
I had some gameplay issues. I died many times due to being locked into the eating animations and my thirst meter draining quickly. I think that slowing the rate of hunger and thirst would dramatically improve my experience and make me more willing to explore the map. I ended up doing a few runs just to walk around the map without worrying about food or water just so I could get a proper layout of the map. I called those my sacrifice runs, which I don't believe was your intention for a player to do. Also I died due to picking up the key and being soft-locked out of being able to eat or drink for the rest of the session. I never figured out how to put the key down or find an object to use it on.
I actually didn't mind too much not having camera controls, but I do think it would be worthwhile for a bigger release of this game. I could definitely see this game becoming a much larger project and being a very fun release for you. Really cool stuff! It felt a lot like a prototype for a much larger game about surviving the woods as an injured mouse. I would be really curious to see what a bigger release of this game would look like.
Thanks for giving it a try! In hindsight I do sort of regret not letting players put down the key anywhere, or at least giving them the option to place it in the shelter earlier on in the day.
...that being said, I might have just given a hint as to what you are supposed to do with it.
I liked the game's idea and the visual aspect. But I really missed the ability to rotate the camera.
Thanks for playing! I had considered adding a camera rotation feature, but it was one of those things that was cut for time.
Good game, I liked the style, it reminded me of the N64. I would have liked to be able to run, maybe, but I understand that would unbalance the gameplay. I liked the eating and sleeping system. Very good game overall.
I quite like the N64 style graphics, the main character is very cute! I also like how the music progresses once you get the key. In terms of gameplay, I was caught off guard when night fell and I died. I thought I would just play into the night, so that should probably be tutorialized better. I also wish you could drop the key, as I died when I grabbed it while too thirsty. Overall, it felt a little too easy to survive once I understood the mechanics. I would just hang out near the blueberries everyday since they provided food, the lake was also nearby, and it also wasn't too far a walk from the shelter. Definitely want to add more to this so you can't just rely on staying near the same spot the whole time. I think you did a great job aesthetically, though! Nice work!
I loved the art and the music and sound design in the game and i thought balancing the food and water and daylight was pretty good, i will say though i was a little lost on where to go? and where to put the key, but that may just have been me lol.

"[...] the owner of the arm." 😂
What a charming game this was! The music felt nostalgic... nostalgia of something that never was? Maybe it's a book I read when I was little about a little mouse and her fountain... "La fontaine de Marguerite".
Although I absolutely loved this game, I have a few critiques to make:
- The death from darkness was way too punishing. Dying at 8PM is extreme. And somehow, I once survived at 9PM? Don't know how.
- The sound effects were great but very loud. Eating was panned to the right ear a lot and it felt like it was bass-boosted or something in that ear? It slightly hurt.
- The endings were a bit too short for my taste. The setting was so good that I would have liked to see just a bit more!
Everything about this game is incredibly well made! The models and animations greatly simulate the ones from the old low poly 3d era. And so does the music and ambience of the game!
If anything, I think the gameplay loop of drinking water, eating and resting could have been more explored, but that would just be me nitpick at this point.
Very good game!
Such a cool game with great art and music direction! Animations and sound reminded me of Ocarina of Time in the best way. I also really liked your take on the theme as being more of a survival resource manager, the balance of needing to eat, drink and still find time to walk back and sleep was quite engaging. Good work on this, would love to see it expanded.
I kept dying D: - Cute concept even though it makes me a lil sad. why did lil bro get hurt :(
I love the leaf texture for the ground, its very nostalgic.
Its sad but the graphics are so cute!!
I liked the game. I'm a sucker for oldesque 3D games, so the initial seconds really hooked me in that regard.
Really cool concept! I was frustrated at first not knowing why I was losing at the end of the day, but once I saw the tree and realized where I could rest that helped.
Thanks for playing! I figured that might be a point of confusion for players, so I tried to spruce (heh) up the tree a bit visually.
Yeah that's exactly what it was that got me to realize it, but it took a while to realize there was something different about the tree. Regardless though it's a really sweet game and I did enjoy it!
Short and sweet
