This game gives me You're Not My Neighbor/Papers Please vibes. It has quirky dialogue, interesting character design, the music is great and really makes you feel like you're inside a store.
If anything, the one criticism I can give is that there is almost no punishment for not getting the "right" choice. At a point I was maxed out on the Employee Satifaction so I just started appeasing most karens without much issue.
Other than that, this was an amazing game, also "Krakens" instead of "Karens" was a really smart move.

I've had a few people while I was making it on streams say they thought is was like those games too! Ironically I never played them, only seen screenshots or BRoll from videos.

Progression unfortuantally got cut because I ran out of time and everytime I added anything the buttons broke @_@

I was going to have a store rank thing going one but I never got to. :\

I thought it would make it feel more satire if I didn't call the aliens Karens. I'm glad you enjoyed!

Thanks for playing :D

Pretty spiffy game with great art and dialogue! Loved the whole silly premise of it, and it was pretty satisfying to learn all the customer patterns. For some feedback, I think increasing the difficulty over time would have been nice, especially since it's an infinite game. I just would've wanted to see more drastic penalties for doing the wrong thing once you got further into the game, to give it a bit more progression.  Other than that though, I had a good time managing some Karens! Good work!

Cool game, easy to get addicted into the gameplay loop. The text on the screen is kinda hard to read, but still readable.

I was 50/50 on the font, it fit the vibe but I wasn't sure if everyone could read it. I'll keep that in mind for that font if I ever wanna use it again.

Thanks for playing! :D

Really cool! I wish you had bigger penalties for throwing out nice customers or appeasing karens, though. I could essentially have kept going forever. Also I really liked the music!

Developer(+1)

The music was rushed last minute I'm glad it doesn't sound like nails on a chalk board XD

I also wish I could have made it progress a lil more. Maybe next time!

Thanks for playing!

You've really got something with the title of this game, you know that? Anyways, besides being on the easy side (it took a while for employee satisfaction to get to a low enough level for me to be concerned about), this was a pretty fun and creative idea; I liked the different alien designs and the little text sound.

its so fun seeing how different people play. I know 2 people that lost because of overly against the krakens and I know one that lost because they're too nice. You pretty much played it the right way where you kept it balanced! I probably could have made it harder I honestly didn't know how to balance what I had xD I'll keep it in mind if I make something like this again tho!

Thanks for playing :D

This was so fun! Seriously, great execution. It was a little frustrating to learn the patterns, and I had a difficult time at first, but I got the hang of it and enjoyed it! I think if I had to pick a critique it would be that I would want to see some more sense of progression, like things changing based on past decisions, but I also know that's outside the scope of this jam considering how polished and amazing your game already was.

Developer

Yah I had a ranking system idea to get best rank for the store and you win but the loop itself broke several times and I just wanted it to not implode last minute XD

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you had fun :D

EXCUSE ME!! I'D LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE DEVELOPER OF THIS GAME!

What a cute and fun little game!

I really had a blast throwing out unruly Karens and actually helping people that needed it. The designs of the aliens are really fun and I think adds a lot to the experience. If it was just normal Karens I don't think the game would be as fun, tbh. Parasol really did a great job putting it all together.

There were a few moments where I felt I was justified in throwing someone out that the game didn't seem to agree with, but once I got the patterns down I really felt like I was becoming more confident in my ability to MANAGE this space store. At one point I had 100% customer and employee satisfaction, which felt pretty sweet.

My only feedback I'd give is that I wish the game were harder! But I don't really think that's what the game is going for, so it's really more of a personal preference. Great Job!

Woah you got both to 100?? That's impressive I didn't even think that was possible xD good job!

Thanks for the review and for playing 🙂
