You're right, though - as a developer myself - I'd give PerfectFox265 some time to cook. Developing passion projects under pressure is usually counter-productive.
I suppose we can all learn something here. Going forward,
- PerfectFox265 can and should give us release windows only when they're comfortable and know they can stick to it. In case there are delays (which can happen for any number of reasons), it would be ideal if we got a small update to avoid situations like this again.
- Users shouldn't press the developer on the matter unless the release window has elapsed (see current situation).
Regarding this post: Nobody besides the dev knows the current state of affairs. Creating a new post won't garner new information unless the dev provides us with it. I'd follow-up on the previous post on the matter because this isn't a new topic and, is most likely not conducive towards the next release date.
Edit: I'm not defending the dev; I'm just playing the devil's advocate, as a fellow developer. In their shoes, I'd prefer keeping to myself until I release the next patch...maybe I'd provide a quick update but I'd keep it minimal.
