Solid submission for the theme, well done!

Great game! Felt like a kangaroo spamming the click button to evade enemies, as all I can hear is hop, hop, and hop. I didn’t realise you can use the keyboard to move until I read the other comments, good job!

Visually it's weird, but not in a bad way. They look like wax figures, and the environments do too. I think overall it looks appealing. I tried using the keyboard controls, but ended up opting for the mouse, for me, it was much more comfortable and faster to switch directions quickly. At first I thought the enemies moved at the same time as you, something similar to Crypt of the Necrodancer, but it didn't take me long to realize they don't (I got smacked by a nearby spider haha). The vibe overall is good, nice job!

Oh hey, that’s Jack Sparrow’s compass that does not point to North. I like the boardgame-y visual style and this isometric look. I also enjoyed how the theme was implemented into gameplay and not only story (yeah I took a lot of damage)). However, enemy behaviour is quite hard to time and predict. At the first glance, I expected the game to be turn based.

The first time I played the game it crashed with null function exception when trying to Summon in the forest. The issue went away during the second playthrough

I’ve also found WASD control superior to mouce clicking. Thanks for implementing diffrent input methods

I liked the writing and quite enjoyed the experience

Very interesting concept! It remainds me old games

This is a really interesting concept, though i feel it needs more itteration and time to bake. The artstyle doesn't resonate with me at present, the pieces on the gameboard style is really interesting though i think the shading method makes it feel very plastic. As for the gameplay i wish i shared a turn with enemies, and they moved in more clear and predictable patterns. at present i would move to try and avoid an enemy only for them to jump into the space next to the space i'm moving into and instantly dealing damage to me, which felt a bit unfair. The tilebased map is an amazing concept, though i wish that the tiles weren't just generated individually, but in sets, the maze map feels claustrophobic and frustrating at times, dealing garunteed damage, where as the open map has the opposite problem of no where to hide from enemies. If structures generated whole buildings or larger alcoves than singular wall tiles, i think that would feel more interesting and engaging to strategize with.

But that's just my opinion, the dementia mechanic is super cool! being able to walk away and reset a obstacle to get it out of the road is really interesting, and i can see that being expanded upon if you itterate on this idea. All in all, really really cool design c:

This hits hard! Well written and well polished. The emotion of the story & music contrasted well with the frantic way I felt I needed to move & click avoid the monsters: like I was trying to outrun the decay of my mind.

I loved the decay mechanic: it felt really stressful and really motivated avoiding the monsters. It also looked cool with the pieces flying in and out, the camera adjusting, etc. I also thought you introduced and mechanics of decay and avoiding the creatures well -- it was just unforgiving enough to teach the mechanic quickly.

Cool concept and I liked the sound design aside from the... wet stomach-y noises. definitely a personal issue though lol

actually super pretty and engaging i dont know how you managed to make all of this in just a week, loved the king  in yellow themes and it feels super polish.

i did feel that the 2 first enemys were too similar but still great game omg

We would have loved to add more polish.
The Flying Poylp was going to have unique AI (maybe some large/flying movements), but we sadly ran out of time.
Such is the way when you're working full-time and doing a game jam :)

I really like the character and enemy design, and the way they move. Great game!

Also, I’d like to highlight the ambient sound and sfx. They add a lot to the experience.

really nice, mechanics were all solid. also just the pacing was really well done, not too much wandering around between interactions and the generation was interesting to watch. art was neat as well

The visuals are suuper good, it reminded me of the olds CRPG games. Together with the music it actually made me nostalgic of my childhood playing Sacred with my brother haha. If anything, the appearing animation of the tiles made me a little dizzy, I think the effect would actually work better if the camera was more zoomed out.

But amazing entry nonetheless!
