I like the idea of running around collecting clues and solving a mystery.
It would have been nice if each part you picked up had a little story attached to help flesh out the world.
Your lighting had the effect of hiding the staircase from me. It was cool that at a certain angle, I could see where it was. Could be an interesting way to hide clues or secrets (alluding to a more non-Euclidean space).
I hadn't considered using the lighting like that! I'll keep that in mind as I continue working on it as the hut is intended to be a "weird space" or sorts! thank you so much for taking the time to look at my prototype <3
It was a good start for a prototype. A bit more sound would have been better.
yeah sound design isn't my forte and I regret not adding some before the jam period ended, but sound will be coming in an update sometime after the voting period is over!
The easter eggs at the escape button really make me laugh. The kill button really kills you 😂. For a first timer jammer and a demo, the camera is stable and the controls are really smooth, even some experienced devs struggle with that. Keep the hard work on! :)
Thank you kindly for the encouraging words! I've been super scared of looking at reviews lol, I plan on sitting down today and doing my part in rating more submissions. I've always loved "free will" options some indie devs throw in games so you could expect more little secrets / fun things like that from my future projects!
Nice start of something! Controls are nice and smooth and I can see the potential for more here. Would love to see everything more fleshed out, particularly with the environment, but I like where the idea is going! Also quite liked the glowing/particle effects on the barrel--nice touch! Can't wait to see more :)
I'm really happy with how the character controller turned out, though I had some friends talk about mouse sensitivity so I'll absolutely be looking into that for more options to give to the player (sensitivity slider as a start)l, Thank you so much for taking time to play my small prototype and giving feedback!
If indeed it's planned to continue work, the environment might need shading, so as to see where the corners are. After finishing the trail, is there more to it? I'm worried I might have missed something. Completing the trail with the last piece at the lower level gives me the Accept my fate end screen.
Yeah unfortunately that's all there is for now for this small prototype, I will keep your feedback in mind though: I do intend to make more detailed textures so everything isn't the default matte white that's giving people trouble. Thank you for checking out my small prototype!~ I hope to deliver when I flesh it out some more
Really nice stuff! controls were fine and everything seemed to work as intended. I'd say if you are going to continue working on this, start by adding in more to the environment! would give the players a challenge to search through and would improve visuals! good job :)
Thank you so much for checking out my small game!~ I do intend to add more to the environment once I get the objective system up and running as I want to design the play area with that in mind. I really did want to do more modeling before I submitted but that deadline snuck up on me lol
I will put plenty of love and care into the visual design when I focus on the first full release, thank you again for swinging by!~
