Onboarding felt a bit messy because the “How to Play” section has a lot of text, but once I got into the game, it became really enjoyable. The UI is cool, the sound design is charming, and the core mechanics work well. I think increasing the font size would make the text easier to read. Overall, I had a good time playing it!

This was fun! I enjoyed the music and it felt pretty intuitive to navigate. The descriptions of people were also very funny!

One bug I noticed: after purchasing a sticker and selecting a slot to add it to, my sticker count stayed at 0/5 and the next time I got a sticker it wasn't there. It also didn't give me the sticker ability as far as I could tell. Maybe I missed something about using the sticker, but I'm not sure what.

Hey, thanks for trying it out! Unfortunately that bug snuck by while I was rushing to get this submitted before the deadline since I had an emergency surgery and didn’t have a chance to do that last pass of squashing bugs.

the good news is that IS on my radar for bug fixing on the GitHub pages version in the future. I don’t think I’m allowed to push a bug fix on Itch until after the game jam. But I am definitely collecting all the bug reports and what people like/dislike for the future updates :D

A vending machine simulation roguelike is such a unique and creative genre mashup! The concept sounds really fun. Nice work.

It is an interesting concept but it is unclear how to win or loose. I clicked buttons randomly and it did not seem to matter. Maybe I was just lucky, but at least it should be clear if the player is on the right track or not.

hi, there is a how to play in the main menu and in the settings screen that explains it a bit. Due to the time limit for a game jam a how to play was implemented rather than a full onboarding.

Interesting! with more player feedback and incremental numbers, maybe instead of rounds it could be an ongoing thing where you restock while also people buy stock! would play again!

I’m definitely looking into iterating on this more in the future, health issues I have to get dealt with got in the way at the end, but long term I will definitely consider that, probably jam (heh) some more game modes in.

Cool idea! Big fan of the narratives at the bottom

Thank you, I had fun making them :D

Hi playtested your game, nice game.

small bug: sticker shop windows overlap how to play text window and impossible to read text.

Developer

Can you share some feed back on what device you tried it on (phone, or PC)? And if phone what model or viewport size? I tried to test for average screen sizes that it could adapt to, but sometimes certain screen sizes can still need their own layout adjustment on my end.

Also, I made the game engine too and am still ironing out some bugs with the Itch web player. I only had time to test on my GitHub pages version (due to irl stuff). If it only happens in the itch version that would help narrow down the bug to so I can squash it

Game is Snackiteer, made in my micro game engine: Ursa Manus (both open source, and linked on my GitHub above)
