It's a very nice and creative idea, open to development. However, its acceleration is very slow, so it feels sluggish. It could be sped up a bit.

Very cool idea! A little too much challenge for me because of how it becomes harder to move with gaining mass, but thats obviously just a me problem

Developer

Thanks, i'm glad you like it, and it's not just your problem the control truly is hard if you have a lot of mass

This game feels what Agar.io would play if it was a platformer, and I say that in the best way possible. The physics are really fun to play with and the use of the Manage theme was really well implemented here!

Thanks, i'm glad you like it, and I also think that it feels a little like the agar specially while i'm doing the physics because i take an image that can be an avatar in agar

This is a really great game. There are some truly fantastic games in this “competition.” I was about to give it a full 5 stars, but then I noticed a glitch: after losing a large portion of our mass where we were stuck to the ground, we can’t move on to the next section because we’re now too light. It would have been perfect if there had been a “return to checkpoint” button at that point (if I missed something, please let me know and I’ll revise my review).

Developer

I am glad you liked the game. We know the bug but you can restart from checkpoint pressing R

I really enjoyed Piko! I totally get why people are talking about it. The way that piko becomes more sluggish to control as you make him bigger is really fun and frustrating in a way that is fun and engaging. I cant tell you how many times I yelled PIKOOO at my screen when he did something like roll past a button or fall into a pit because I was too big. Really fun and funny stuff.

I recorded my gameplay and first impressions for you! If you'd like to see it, please reach out on the fireside discord and I'll get you a link. I yell Piko a lot and I have some in the moment feedback for ya. Thanks for making this!

Developer

Wow, super thanks!!, it would be super cool to watch your gameplay!

The lines of the walls' texture were kinda causing eye strain...

How were half my comments so for on games this year about accessibility problems that usually never bother me???

Developer(+1)

Yeah that's probably true, but since for me is not causing that much eye strain, i don't know until you commented

I really like the mass management mechanic! It's interesting how you become easier to maneuver while smaller, but you usually need the mass for later in the level, very cool design-wise! I also like the blob physics, though they sometimes glitched out for me. The blob does feel a little slow and sluggish to control, though, and I couldn't figure out how to get yeeted without losing all my health on the second level. Also wish it was easier to place blob pieces on pressure plates. With some refinement, though, I could see this main mechanic really shining! Great work!

Thanks, i'm glad you enjoy it

super cool idea! sucks that the artists dipped but i really thought the mechanics were fun. difficult for me cause im bad at games like this but that's just user error lol. thanks for sharing!

Developer

Thanks i'm glad that you enjoy it

Sad to hear that the artist had to dip but the rest of the game came out pretty solid! The slimy movement was sometimes a bit hard to control but that's because I was being stupid and huge. Really good gameplay and level design, especially for a jam game.

Developer

Thanks, and the movement is probably not your fault is indeed a little difficult to move, but in some way i think that matches with the character. I mean if you are a slime it can't be easy to move around

Rip Bozo, hes stupid and huge

Honestly I had pretty low expectations going into this one, but I was kinda floored when I actually started playing it. The slime physics-based gameplay is so unique and nuanced that I could see it being in an actual commercially sold game (as soon as I saw that you could jump slightly higher if you're bouncing on the ground, I knew I was in for something exceptional), and even within the confines of a game jam entry it's built upon remarkably well through the level design. The only complaints I have are that the music, charming as it is, feels a little basic, the level tiles could be a little better-looking, and there was a glitch where a slime ball would suddenly cover most of the screen, but otherwise this is exceptional!

Developer

Thanks, that bug is a know bug but is really tricky to fix because all the slime movement is a physics simulation so that bug is difficult to correct in a jam duration

Super cool, physics are really cool and fun !!

This game is really fun. I LOVE how it look like, it's really clean
