Great idea! At first I thought about "where is only 1 life"?
Then I realized that life doesn't mean death, it's the life where player controlling.
Anyway fantastic!
I was thinking the same thing when I first saw the limitation, lol. I was going to make a game where some magical force saves you from spikes but then I realized the game didn't need anything deadly at all to fit the limitation. Thanks for playing!
cool concept
great limitation
i really enjoyed the game
and the graphics too wasn't bad
such a cool game.
Thank you!
Such a cool concept and it fits really well with the theme, love it!!
Thanks!
Yoohoo! That was so cool! The puzzles are really well designed. Really smart concept and amazing level design. The sound, music and art are all really well made too! I had a really fun time playing through. Really nice job with this game :D
Thanks, I'm glad you had fun!
I love this game!
I did get soft-locked at some point, but I'm really happy I refreshed and saw the end of this game!
Great intuitive mechanics and level design, gg!
Thanks!
Amazing experience from start to finish. i see you have listed audacity but by any chance did you use beepbox?
Thanks! Yes, I love beepbox.
Genuinely beautiful game! I loved every minute of this all the way to the end. I feel like this really could be a great project to work on post jam and really make something out of it.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was thinking of making a larger game with similar mechanics.
Hey there! This is a very nice game and I did really enjoy the mechanic of switching between different objects.
The level design is really well done and I loved how the mechanic was used. I think this can def be made into a real game if you expand on this mechanic more and maybe even add some lore.
I did really like at the end also how you can see it gets a bit lighter which was just a small but nice detail and the surface pixel art was really nice.
One small critique, during some sections when you have to switch between the white monster thing continuously to head upwards, there were parts where my camera can't see the one above and I thought I was stuck for like a minute. Maybe if you could somehow make it easier to see that you need to go up by giving the camera more upwards bias that would be nice.
But yeah, overall I really liked this game, great entry!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! I agree that I should've made the creatures more visible in those spots. Thanks for the feedback!
I really like your interpretation of the theme! I really couldn't figure out how to get past this bit, tried to dive into the water and swap but I couldn't quite manage it, not sure if that's the intended solution?
You have to go left and there will be a bird you can switch too and then you can switch to a fish which you use to go through the water
