Very innovative idea and cool game. I really liked putting in the commands as fast as I can, but my (very bad) typing skills did not help :). It would be cool if the names of the rooms were also better visible when the light is turned off. Additionally, I would also add an option to restart the game and maybe make the first day a bit less difficult. Just to make sure everyone has a first success and keeps playing :).
Congratulations to this very innovative entry! I had fun playing it!
Interesting game! It was pretty hard for me, the trust depleted too fast, and it didn't even restore the next day. Still fun though. Good work!
Really fun concept! I love the idea of playing an AI that is slowly taking over the household by using a terminal!
The game throws you in pretty fast though... I made quite a few typos before understanding what was going on, and the time pressure makes it unforgiving at the start... A short tutorial or a slower first level could help a lot.
But overall a really enjoyable game with a lot of potential and difficulty levels would be a great addition for future updates too! :)) Great job!
I really like the idea you’re going for here. I think the main issue comes down to player attention span and onboarding.
When we build things, we tend to assume players will read instructions or documentation, but in reality most people don’t. That’s not a flaw in your concept, just something we all run into myself included.
I think you’ve got a solid idea, and I’ve seen a few other submissions try something similar. The challenge here isn’t execution so much as how the player is introduced to it.
Post jam I would increase the visibility of the text box so players immediately notice it. I would also consider some kind of guidance to ease players into it.
Overall the concept is strong, it just needs a smoother entry point for players to really get it.
Hi, play tested your game, dont Shure what command I should type "room.lights.on/off: switch lights" return "Uknown command" meanwhile "kitchen.stove.heat/cool: stove control" and "garden.sprinkler.on/off: water flower" works.
I wasn’t able to play, due to the color contrast here:
