Such a simple main mechanic - having an action that requires player to focus on one place but keeping their attention to their back as well. Really keeps you on your toes.

The atmosphere: birds, creakings and various fake-outs make this work well.

At the very end I was celebrating so much that I missed whatever the heck happened when I hit the monolith and stared into the main menu in confusion, lol. The ending could be better :)

Yea, I'm surprised we came up with something this simple. I never had a game concept go so smoothly before lol. I think we thought of this in like 2 hours' time. But I'm glad people like it as all of this was mostly intended! And if we had enough time to make the ending, I think the game would have been almost perfect for what it even was.

the amount of times i said "bro stop running at me" might be a world record

The kind of hypnotic 'zone' you get into while digging away was really nice, and I did actually feel paranoid when digging and hearing footsteps! Solid job!

Holy shit, this game is insane. Loved the sound design. Great job!

Here I was wondering how the cat feels chasing that laser until I played this. Then I hear footsteps behind me and I'm like: "oh someone is coming to help!"...

...I couldn't be more right. He helped me and we finished the game together.
Then I tried again and went all the way into the night. Felt like an old west prospectors when I hear Mr Thumpy ๐Ÿ˜ถโ€๐ŸŒซ๏ธ behind me again. I chased him away with my trusty pickaxe โ›๏ธ: "The gold is Miiiiine, Mr Thumpy!" I yield. He went away but the bastard waited when I was all tired in a dark and had let go of my mouse to have a sip of refreshment...
...

...

...I only heard what could be described as cry of joy when he got ma' gold and the world went dark again. ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€

DUDE. SERIOUSLY WAS ON EDGE MAN

Didnโ€™t get jumpscared once but I loved the idea of the attacks and how simple the game is all together.

I will say, at certain times the hitbox was a tad bit small. But that is very minor tho.

Fantasic Job! :)

Wow, so simple and effective! Can I get in one more hit beforeโ€ฆ???

Iโ€™m not sure if I won or not but it was way better than Peter Molyneuxโ€™s cube game!

Glad you liked it! If you hit the pillar/obelisk enough times and make it glow you win. After the jam we will add a 2nd map to wrap things up so it feels more complete.

I loved how the tension kept building! The number of hits needed to destroy the stone makes the game a little too long, but other than that, it's a good game.

Thanks for the feedback! we will add in some bug fixes today.

Really Nice though I feel we can reduce the amount of hits and the character slides a bit but other than I really liked the weeping angel and the aesthetics

Glad you liked it! We will add in some bug fixes today that will fix some of those issues.

Nice little game, was a proper grind to reach the end lol. Wish it was a bit more rewarding to get there though.

There was supposed to be another map after this but we ran out of time. We plan to add it in after the jam though!
