That stressed me out

It's interesting but I agree with the rest, increasing the reaction time a bit would let you really see the progression of the 'decay' in the game. I found it impossible to get past 30, but I can imagine how it would evolve over time, and it looks good. I also read in the comments that the sounds are entirely coded and, if so, great job, they are very satisfying!

Super cool idea, a piece of feedback is it seems tuned to the developer who had to test it repeatedly making even the easy difficulty really difficult.

Fun, addictive and mind bending! I haven't quite got past the point where I lose on the first lie, but probably that's a skill issue!

This seems like really good reflex game, but classic mode is WAY too difficult. I think it be would best to lower how fast the time speed up. This would allow more people to see how drastic the decay can get and possibly finish the mode to move onto others more naturally. Also I'm not sure how much this aligns with cosmic horror vibes of the jam, but that might be less important.

(My best scores for Classic, Hardcore, and Endless are 25, 15,  and 26 respectively.)

Thank you for the suggestion. I'm planning to do that once the jam ends as I'm not sure if i can update my game during the jam,.

My only suggestion would be to lengthen the reaction time a little. The game ramps up so quickly that it’s really hard to break into the mid-20s (my best is 24). Since it hints that it continues up to 100, it almost feels like I can’t really explore a lot of the game’s thematic comment.

That said, this is super polished! I love the presentation, and I think you did a great job with the sound. The flavor text hints at something sinister without revealing everything. It’s a unique premise and you executed it well!

Thank you for the suggestion and honestly I'm planning to as i agree but i don't think i can edit my game during voting

This is like a pico-8 version of a stroop test, I love it! I was so confident I could at least reach 30 but 23 is the wall I've hit in the 50 minutes I've been at it. I'll be back for more though

reading that you coded in the sfx is super impressive too, the sfx alongside the way you've made conflicting stimuli is all incredibly charming and just tickle the brain the right way

I really like the 'juice' in this game, the sound effects and slight animations really bring it together, nice and simple UI but very pleasing to look at, I only got to about 25 as it starts getting very fast for me, I'll try again tomorrow and see if I improved. Great work!

It's a fun game, my mind is crap so I couldn't make big numbers but enjoyed the sessions. The art is appropiate and it polished enough.

If I had to change something, I would add a bit of narrative to the mechanic associate it with the theme.

Fun little game! I wasn't able to get big scores since my reflexes aren't the best, but I still had fun. The sound effects were extremely satisfying and felt like ASMR as I was clicking the buttons lol

Thank you for the positive feedback! I'm surprised people like the sounds as they were completing coded in, haha, 8-bit sfx was made fully in the code (no external .mp3's or anything)

Cute game based on the classic brain teaser! You must have a quicker reaction time than I, but still a cute interpretation of the theme.

Thank you for the positive feedback! With time the system decays and gets a lot harder
