Despite my best attempts, I couldn't get the game to work on my machine. I can't say for sure why, it simply refused to accept any input, keeping me stuck on the title. Sorry I can't give a review for it, but I hope others feedback helps!

EDIT: Turns out I got it working after all. It was an issue with my aspect ratio, the button to play was overt to the left while the text remained in the center. It was certainly fun to explore, though I spent way too much time translating that text only to realize it didn't seem to mean anything for an alternate ending or the like. I did get the code and got in though, although there was also a notable bug where if you adjust the 4th letter, even if it cycles back to the proper letter, the code no longer works.

There's several elements I liked. The required repeat after rain to see everything, for example. I would like more things tied together, though, such as digging out the relics affecting the ending. Those and the secret messages felt more like red herrings than elements of the mystery or world building.

My only issue is that it could've used an option to play it windowed. I don't know why, but I get quickly disoriented playing it on fullscreen.

I will consider this in my other games, thanks for remark.

A very fun game of exploring. I got quite invested into learning about the place, and decoding the hieroglyphics was fun, I got out some paper for that! My only gripe is the theme more gets in the way rather than enhances the game: The rain comes after only 2 minutes, but restarting is so quick, it's really just an inconvenience after the first time of exploring the rained upon town. Otherwise, I enjoyed this more than I expected to!

After submitting the game I thought I made the worst game ever but this comment maid my day, thanks for playing.
