Greetings Bozo, this message may not get to you in time, but I'd still like to talk about this situation.

It has come to my attention you do not want to rate my game due to the "rivalry" between us, and while I do see your good intentions behind it, I think you should still go out of your way to rate it. I have never been serious about disliking you or any of your projects or focusing on placing above you. As much as this is a competition, it is important to remain mature in our own judgements  and not let our emotions have the better of us, but refraining from rating is not how you should do it.
As for your game, I must admit, it is the game I had the most fun with in this jam. Not only is moving around very fun, but the combo system is a really nice (cream) touch to the whole experience, and I started to see techniques in the most natural of routes. I also applaud the music and sound design, there's no variety in it, but what you got here fits the game perfectly. My only real complaint is that the game is a bit lackluster in visuals. They do look good, the scenery is just a bit empty, but it's still a very charming looking game. As for the theme, it is as basic as it gets, but you handled the gameplay around it very well, this will definitely be among the top 10 of the jam.
Lastly, I'm not sure how feasible rank D is lol, I've given it a couple of tries in level 1 but I never passed 16000 score so it is either a joke score or a Bozo-Only score :v

Regardless, you made a great game man! Let's see how the results will go

Yeah that's partially my poor judgement, I've been under the idea that I'd rather not rate a game than give it an unfair rating but in reality im probably just overthinking or over exaggerating the case, I'll go rate yours in a sec (edit: turns out rating locked right before I posted this oops). I do agree the rivalry should be in a friendly manner I've just been opting out of voting since I wouldn't want it to actually produce harmful effects on the results if that makes sense

Yeah I do agree the scenery is a bit empty it just came from a lack of time, if I had any extra hours that would've been the top priority. Glad to hear you had fun though, that's usually what I try to prioritize with my stuff

Also yeah D rank is something I expected nobody to get, it stands for Dev rank so it is indeed a bozo-only score since it's set to whatever I could reach before submission. I'm pretty sure the only one that's been reached was the Level 1 D rank by bagel since he just abused spiking for the mult lol

I'll see you in the top 10 🫡 (hopefully)

The controls are a bit confusing at first, but once you get used to them, it's a very fun game with creative mechanics. I liked it.

Great game! Super juicy, and it was fun mastering it and I found it difficult but rewarding. Kinda reminded me of learning to surf in Counter Strike having to combine two hand movements together for the fastest speed.

Hm I think I am stuck at the tutorial where it says to give me a pogo stick and have no idea what to do to progress.. Or I am just too stupid for the game XD

Developer

Hold arrows to aim the pogo. You will need to full screen if possible to prevent the page from scrolling

STYLISH. ACTION. POGO. STICK.

If those words alone don't sell you, I don't know what will. To me, it's self-explanatory that a Tony Hawk/Jet Set Radio styled score attack game where you pogo bounce off walls is just plain fun; I don't even know what else to say.

Great job on the game! sorry I'm too stupid to play it.

(I have some video for ya if ya want it)

This has to be one of my favorites by far! This feels like it could be a Steam game, a momentum platformer focused around speedruning! All in all, surely is one of the contenders for the Judge's favorite picks!

Yahhhhh I'm the worst person to play a game like this XD Its quiet hard but the little bit I could manage its impressive what you got done!

I wish you offered a download of the game cause I wasn't able to disable my scrollbar nor could I get the arrow inputs exclusive to the game. Besides some exclusive control issues, I think the game is quite good. I definitely see a ton of potential with having fun with experimenting with the movement.

Developer

Does itch.io's fullscreen not work for you? There should be a button on the bottom right but maybe its not working, some games won't fullscreen for me too.

Submitted

Yeah I tried fullscreen when I realized the scrollbar was going to be an issue and it didn't work. I ended up zooming out until the scrollbar didn't have much to scroll at all. The game jam banner made it so no matter how far I zoomed out it would still scroll a little.

When you enter fullscreen you have to click anwywhere to focus the game, otherwise the keyboard does nothing. I had to make a popup in my game saying "game unfocused" exactly for that... it's quite an annoying problem

I love this!! This is definitely one I'll have to come back to when I'm not super sleep deprived lol. I really enjoyed playing it. The controls were super responsive if not a little frustrating trying to master them. I think I kept expecting the up to function like down and vice versa. Regardless, wonderful job and I can't wait to replay and try to beat my scores!

This one was such a blast! I can tell you spent a good bit of time adding in all that juice, because this one just feels really good to play, with everything from the hitstop to the satisfying score at the end. The skill ceiling for this must be really high as well, since I accidentially pulled off a bunch of crazy plays while trying to improve my time. I'd really reccomend turning this into a micro-speedrunning sort of game, it just has a lot of potential. Great work!
