I love the design of the characters and our mc's nest! The main menu animation is stunning! The gameplay is very cozy, and seeing our nest getting together gave me joy. I even tried to fail to see the other ending, but it's harder than winning :D.
Thanks for playing!
Yeah setting win/fail condition proved to be quite difficult, energy/time/score values were set in a rush so I am not ever too sure myself how to get the best/worst score.
I am currently working on a reworked/polished version where this idea is scrapped in favor of a more natural approach to scoring.
too cute to rate it less than 20 stars
what an amazing art for a three days jam!!! i loved it!!!
Hey this was super cool to play!! Really fits the game jam's vibe, and I was really impressed by the billboarded 2.5D look you went for! Also the title screen is absolutely gorgeous
I love the art, and “cosy” is definitely the first word I’d use to describe this. Really well made :) I can imagine a whole game with these characters.
Very cool art and a cute concept, a lot done for the three day game jam! The only downside was that the camera was a little clunky playing in browser, but amazing overall :)
Positives:
- I'm extremely impressed by the art style!! Like... How do you even draw all of this in 3 days? That's just crazy to me
Negatives:
- Whenever hovering over something from the right of my screen, it cuts out. I know I'm able to pan over, but it would be nice to always see whatever I'm highlighting
Thank you for your feedback!
All the art was drawn by my 2 skilled artist friends, since we already had the OCs/world planned beforehand it was "just" a matter of adapting it for the game idea/drawing it so each piece took them 30 minutes at most. I never would have expected having too much art could be a thing, but implementing/presenting everything they did/could draw was a bit overwhelming as a novice godot developer haha
AT MOST? I would be overwhelmed too about the crazy work
The animation in the main menu is phenomenal! The camera movement following the mouse was an amazing touch. I understood the game mechanics very quickly. It's a solid game!
I love the Live2D character on the main menu! So clever with the concept, and really well executed :)
The main menu art is so stunning
