Very fun concept, with more polish, I can see myself playing this for hours.

I only played this in training mode. I think the concept looks fun. 1vs1 car battle with weapons. I wish we could see more in front of the car. I had a tendency to move the mouse pointer up, trying to “move the camera”. I didn’t try mobile controls, but it looks like the layout can work well. It was enjoyable to drive around the training map.

For a 2 week game jam, it can be difficult to include both 1vs1 against real players. Even more so to add an AI to compete against. I think I’d focus on the player VS AI first, as there aren’t many people who will play 1vs1 in a game jam. It’s still a great chance to test the concept, so do what works best for you.

I didn't add mouse controls for camera look around as part of the game mechanics because I thought it would, be a distraction to player.. for rotation there is already 360 car rotation.. so they are force to do it to aim and control..

although I have plans for V2 soon after the jams end.

and i have spend more time on controls and game mechanics. which are designed for the gameplay to make it competitive

Very cool concept. The chaotic battles are really fun. Played much more like a Twisted Metal then my original expectation. The gun play felt very responives but the driving controls could use a bit of work.

Overall really fun game. I think you have something special here

It is a fun vehicular combat prototype, it would be fun if there's an vs AI mode

Really cool concept, and I would like to play a completed version of this. One thing i would love is for a different drifting system. I don't like how I have to stop accelerating to drift, but I do understand what you're trying to do there.

I only played the training mode, but it seems like it would be really fun in PvP! One small thing I noticed is that on a QWERTY keyboard, the controls feel a bit left-hand heavy. It might be more comfortable if they were spread out for both hands. It’s a really interesting concept, and I’d love to see how it develops!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, the arrows are also part of the keys but yea rest of the controls are left handed heavily. when i start creating v2 i will take care of many stuff, more on giving user control, on picking their keys, and adjusting their vehicle controls settings.

Nice game but the control's response was a bit late.

Developer(+1)

you might be more focused on just steering.. and my fault i coudn't explain it properly.. actually car turning is based on space, space + acceleration + steering you get to rotate the car 360. which is part of game mechanics so you can aim and shoot.

It's not a bad concept, but I think it tries to do too much for what it wants to be. Your prototype is interesting to look at, but it's quite weak when it comes to playing it.

Developer

what to expect? a fully polish gameplay within 13 days?

Wow, The visual style is amazing! I love the aesthetic choice, leaving a rating for sure. 5/5

Nice graphics! Sadly I never found someone to play with, but training-mode is fun too.

The controls could use a bit of work to make it feel more responsive. And I'd suggest, that the camera is not 100% fixed behind the car. It should instead follow the car, so, when it is turning, the camera would show the car still from behind, but slightly form the side too. That would make it more dynamic.

Developer

Thanks for your suggestion, but i see controls Fine for my competitive strategy. player means to be seeing in front so that's why i gave 180 quick rotation when you hold space + acceleration + steer direction, this is not racing it's death match. in future i will add vehicle control settings so users can adjust base on their own comforts, for steering sensitivity and drag, overall to have a competitive feeling, i am happy in my design

Adding a training mode to a multiplayer game like this was a great idea! (ツ)ノ

Submitted(+1)

It's a great game, I didn't find any flaws in it, and the controls are very good.

Submitted(+1)

Wooooow. I didn't think I could ever find a pvp multiplayer game in this gamejam.

Submitted(+1)

Very good entry. I played training cos I'm scared of PvP. Nice art, controls were good, car had weight but slow turning. Overall a good entry. Well done

Submitted(+1)

Played 1v1 vs the dev, getting a MP game that is genuinely fun in this sorta timeframe is an achievement in itsself IMO, well done!

Developer(+1)

thanks it means a lot

I could only try the training mode. It looks great. Controls feel a bit sluggish and the car keeps getting stuck on edges in the arena. Other than that its good!

Submitted(+1)

You really did a great job on this. The graphics have improved a lot since the last time I played too. Nice little Vigilante 8 Twisted Metal style game.

I couldn´t understand what to do, I had to tell a friend to join because i wasn´t finding matches, driving mechanics felt clunky and floaty.

Submitted

Very pulished, I wanted to try the multiplayer but it takes too long to find a match, understandable since it is a gamejam and no too many users playing the same game at the time, I missed some sfx and background music
